Demi Lovato Thanks Fans for Support, Award

Due to her stint in a treatment center, Demi Lovato could not attend this month's People's Choice Awards.

But that didn't stop fans from voting her their favorite guest star for her role on Grey's Anatomy; and anointing Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam as their favorite family TV movie.

A People's Choice Award Winner

In response, on her official Facebook page, the young singer has written:

"I wish to thank all the friends and fans who voted for me for the People's Choice Awards and the Hot Hits Hottest Teen Stars of 2010. I want to make sure my fans know how thankful I am for all their love, support and prayers during this difficult time. Thank you for standing beside me through it all."

There's no time table for Demi's return to public life, but we hope she takes as long as she needs to do away with her personal demons for good.

Will Demi Lovato Be Home for Thanksgiving?

Will Demi Lovato be breaking corn bread with her family on Thanksgiving? The 18-year old hopes so, but any timetable for the singer's release from a Chicago area rehab facility will be based on her progress and nothing else.

She's "getting better," a source told E! News this week. "She doesn't want to be in the center for Thanksgiving and wants to go home."

Taking a Music Break

Until that day comes, insiders say Lovato will try to make herself feel at home. She plans to watch friend Miley Cyrus perform Sunday night at the American Music Awards.

Looking farther down the line, Lovato has recorded a few tracks for an upcoming album, but isn't likely to pick up where she left off any time soon.

"They're still committed to her," a source said. "No one is abandoning her. But she is holding off on her music for a bit... There are a lot of people who never heard of Demi Lovato before this and if she can get through this, she will come back stronger and bigger than ever."

And healthier, we all hope. That's the most important thing.

Demi Lovato Described as "Out of Control Mess" While Dating Joe Jonas

At this point, it's no secret that Demi Lovato has been dealing with a number of issues for a very long time.

How did those problems affect this singer's relationship with Joe Jonas? Greatly, according to the latest issue of People.

A source tells that publication Joe had little choice but to end things because “Demi’s attitude and behavior were out of control.” This insider goes on to refer to Demi as “a tortured mess."

Still Good Friends

Lovato's struggles hit a climax on a plane out of Peru, as has already been detailed. She believed backup dancer Alex Welch had tattled on her partying habits and, according to this story:

"Walked onto the plane, did not look at the girl, then suddenly punched her in the face and threatened her with a slew of expletives. Demi’s manager asked her, ‘Are you in control at all?’ She said, ‘Sorry, I just lost it.’”

From there, Demi agreed to seek treatment - and now we're all rooting for her to get better.

"[This] allows [Demi] the time she needs to get well, without distraction or pressure," a Disney Channel spokeswoman said. "Again, we extend our ongoing support to Demi and her family as she works to overcome personal issues."

There is no timetable for Lovato's return to singing or acting. Sources continue to debate the reasons behind her downfall, but THG simply wishes this young star a full, healthy recovery.

Behind the Demi Lovato Breakdown: What Led to Rehab?

I was bullied in middle school. People say sticks and stones may break your bones but names can never hurt you, but that's not true. Words can hurt. They hurt me. Things were said to me that I still haven't forgotten.

So wrote Demi Lovato on the PACER's Teens Against Bullying website last month. This letter is even more relevant now, as the young singer left her tour this week in order to seek treatment for issues related to low self-esteem.

What led Lovato to this point? While a few fans take the simplistic approach ofblaming Joe Jonas and Ashley Greene, the truth is more complicated and deep-seeded. It all culminated in an ugly incident an an airport in Peru on Saturday.

Touring with Her Ex

Demi Lovato was in a fragile state before she was forced to go on tour with her ex-boyfriend, as seen here.

Rumors of Demi cutting herself started well over a year ago, as she showed up at a couple red carpet events with scratches on her arm. Sources say the artist struggled with bulimia for years, leaving her in an insecure state when the romance between her and Jonas ended.

"After she split with Joe, it was just a whole bunch of drama, very awkward," an insider tells E! News. "Everyone tried to be professional, but you could tell it was wearing down Demi. It was a taboo subject to bring up, but clearly she wasn't over Joe.

"The [Jonas] boys got a break after the tour, but Demi went a nonstop promo campaign for Camp Rock 2 and was pushing the single for that movie. It really was too much ask of a girl that young. She just couldn't handle it."

This source cites overwhelming stress as the cause for Demi's breakdown, which led her into a scuffle with a backup dancer in Peru over the weekend.

"She just lost it right at the airport in front of everyone," said the source. "The [Jonases'] dad basically said right there, 'That's it. You're going home.'"

It's sad stuff, but let's all hope it's for the best. Such an incident served as the catalyst for Demi to realize she has a problem and she's now taking the proper steps to get help for it.

Demi Lovato: Back to Brunette

Demi Lovato can't make up her mind.

Sometimes, she goes blonde. Other times, the hair is up. And still other times, you guessed it, the locks are dropped down.

Now, the younger singer - who has been touring for weeks with The Jonas Brothers and played Mexico City this week - has gone back to brunette. She clearly needs your help, THG readers, so please take a moment to compare and contrast below and then vote...

Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato Rock Out in Mexico City

Demi Lovato might be devastated that her ex-boyfriend has moved on to a serious relationship

with Ashley Greene.

But if this is the case, the young singer is doing a great job at hiding it.

Lovato took to the stage with Joe and his brothers in Mexico City Sunday night. She and her former lover even sang a duet together, entertaining fans with a rendition of "Wouldn't Change A Thing," the same single they performed on American Idol in March.

Lawyer for Joe Jonas: My Client is Not Doing Demi Lovato!

Joe Jonas turned 20 years old on Saturday.

But the singer isn't in a celebratory mood today, as his lawyer has fired off a letter to Zack Taylor because that celebrity gossip blogger continues to insist that Jonas is slipping it to ex-girlfriend Demi Lovato.

TMZ has published the document, which takes issue with an article on Taylor's website that states Joe and Demi are "friends with benefits." Due to the differences in the stars' ages, this is a dangerous accusation, one attorney Rob Cohen writes is "completely false, offensive and defamatory."

Moreover, the letter (read it here) accuses Taylor of a "malicious attempt to attack and devalue [Joe's] good name and reputation."

Just Friends Forever

Joe and Demi broke up in May. They are currently touring together, which Jonas says is fine because they remain close friends.

The singer's lawyer demands that Taylor remove the posting in question or face a lawsuit. In the meantime, Joe will continue to possibly court Ashley Greene, an actress of legal age who we're guessing he'd gladly be accused of giving it to.

Demi Lovato: Touring With Joe Jonas Will Be Fine

Demi Lovato: Touring With Joe Jonas Will Be Fine
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, the 'Sonny with a Chance' star admits that her relationship with the Jonas Brothers member is going back to normal like before they got involved romantically.
Demi Lovato is not worried about her upcoming tour with former boyfriend Joe Jonas. Asked about going on the road with the middle member of the Jonas Brothers, the "Sonny with a Chance" star assured Ryan Seacrest during his KIIS-FM radio show that they won't have uncomfortable feeling around each other while on the tour.

"It will be fine," the 17-year-old songstress responded after Ryan played back Joe's comment about their impending encounter. "I've already seen him. It's cool!" She added, "We ran into each other at the Do Something Awards. I was doing my own thing and ran into him and it was really cool. It felt like it was back to normal before all the romance started. So now it's kind of like, 'Okay, we're just back to being buddies'."

Previously, Joe Jonas has shared to Ryan about going on tour with Demi just months after their break-up. "I think touring will be a lot of fun," the 20-year-old told the "American Idol" host on the same radio show. He explained the reason saying, "Demi [Lovato] has been a friend of mine for a long time. I think that our friendship is so strong that it surpasses a lot of things."

Joe Jonas and his brothers, Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas, will be hitting the road this summer on July 27 in Dallas. Demi will be their opening act. The tour will have more than 45 shows planned in North America with stops also expected in Latin American and Europe. Songs off the band's albums, as well as tracks from "Camp Rock" and its sequel "Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam", will be played.

Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas: The Outdated Photo Shoot

The July 2010 issue of Teen Vogue is a collector's item. How come?

Because it features a lengthy photo shoot and interview with Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas... even though these two broke up last month!

Fortunately, the singers remain good friends and got together for a second round of questions after their relationship fizzled. But it still makes for an interesting read when Lovato is asked how they originally got together and she replies:

"One night I asked him, 'What is the deal? We're perfect for each other. What are you doing?' And he was like, 'This is really awkward. I have to go.'"

Joe said he had to think it over, but returned to ask Demi out. Which would be a cuter story if the pair were still an item.

A Sweet Nothing

To the stars' credit, they are mature and open about their split. Says Joe:

"When I met Demi, I knew right away that our friendship was really strong. I don't want to lose that ever."

It doesn't sound like he will, although Lovato admits "I kind of learned throughout this whole experience that having my private life public isn't as awesome as it might seem."

Demi Lovato Forcing Joe Jonas to Watch Grey's Anatomy, Enter Whipped Hall of Fame

Pity Joe Jonas ... and any guy in a committed relationship.

Sometimes, the girlfriend/wife makes you do stuff you don't want to, like watch Grey's Anatomy. Although at least in Joe's case, his girl's gonna be on the show.

"I don't think [Joe] has ever watched, but I'm gonna make him," Demi Lovato says of tonight's episode, in which she guest stars a patient with mental issues.

"I'm gonna show him how amazing it is."

Demi herself clearly doesn't need much convincing in that regard. You won't believe how the Disney star acted when she met the cast before her guest role.

"Um, hi! Can I just say hi? I'm just…a really big fan." Spoken like a true fangirl. "I just saw Teddy, and Owen, and the Chief, and I got really starstruck!"

"I'm a huge fan [of Grey's]. Obsessed. It's not healthy. People know on Sonny with a Chance, ‘OK, she's gotta be home at 8:45 so she can watch [Grey's].'"

Fortunately, Joe has nothing to worry about, as most of the cast members are twice her age and married. But Demi's character has plenty to worry about.

"I'm playing a possible schizophrenic, and I hear every sound in my body from my heart beating to my eyes moving, muscles flexing, blood rushing," Demi spills. "I hear everything going on in my body and I can't take it and try to claw my eyes out."

That would explain the glam-rock makeup, which Demi laughs is "a little Lady Gaga-esque. I've been doing a lot of crying so it's probably worn off by now."

Okay, this we've gotta see.

Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato Shoot Down Feud Rumors, Dine

In a July 2009 interview, Demi Lovato had a simple message: Miley Cyrus is my total BFF!

By October, however, tension seemed to have arisen between the pair, as Lovato Tweeted to Miley that she barely knew her anymore. This exchange took place soon after Demi broke up with Trace Cyrus.

Ever since, fans of both stars have wondered what the status of their friendship is. This week, we seem to have gotten the answer: it's all good.

Miley, Demi, and Liam Hemsworth dined together on Tuesday night at Jerry's Famous Deli in Studio City, CA. Do these look like a pair of feuding enemies to you?

Joe Jonas Previews Camp Rock 2

Are The Jonas Brothers breaking up? We sincerely hope not.

But while their future on the music stage might be up in the air, we know exactly where you'll find these siblings this summer: on the big screen.

All brothers return for Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam. They'll be joined in the sequel by Demi Lovato, as Joe Jonas offered fans a preview of the movie this week. He said:

"There's a lot more romance with my character and even with Nick's character. The romance, the singing and dancing – everything is bigger and better."

Camp Rock 2 Cast

As for his on-screen persona, Joe says "the romance between Shane and Mitchie (Lovato) is still there and it continues to grow," but there will be an obstacle: a competing music camp called Camp Star.

The youngest Jonas brother, Frankie, also has a role in the movie. Lovato told People she can't get enough of working with the entire family:

"They are so easy to work with and we just hangout and have fun. They are like my brothers and they are my best friends. They always make me laugh."
