Did Oksana Lie About Mel Gibson Abuse?

She says he's an abusive monster, but verbal abuse aside, there's been scant proof of any physical attacks, with a whole lot of credibility issues raised.

Case in point? A pediatrician who examined the child of Mel Gibson and Oksana Grigorieva the day after their fight saw no evidence Lucia was injured.

That's contrary to Oksana's claims that Mel hit both of them.

MEL VS. OKSANA: The search for the truth continues.

Dr. Linda Nussbaum, who examined Lucia January 7, never mentioned an injury to the baby's chin, which Oksana now claims Mel Gibson inflicted.

Dr. Nussbaum says, "...I did not see any symptoms of trauma, abuse, bruising, redness or injury on her face, head or elsewhere on her body."

Makes you wonder.

Oksana is alleging Mel struck and injured the child during an explosive argument. The Mel Gibson tapes were recorded about a month afterward.

Dr. Nussbaum says at the time, "Ms. Grigorieva did not state to me that Lucia had suffered any trauma, abuse or injury of any kind." Interesting.

Furthermore, Mel's side believes a photo Oksana Grigorieva is using in the custody case - showing a mark on Lucia's chin - has been doctored.

Mel Gibson in Court: I Love My Baby Girl!

Squaring off with Oksana Grigorieva in their custody fight, Mel Gibson teared up on the stand Wednesday about how much he loves Lucia and his other children.

Mel's voice cracked as he talked about the daughter he shares with Oksana, who was also present, during his testimony. Lucia just celebrated her first birthday.

Oksana wants Judge Scott Gordon to strip Mel of overnight visits with Lucia, saying whenever the baby stays the night at Mel's, she comes back "acting funny."

Mel has issues, but he's fighting hard for custody of his daughter.

Oksana did not get specific as to what "funny" meant.

On cross examination Mel's lawyers played video of Oksana talking to People and other media outlets, asking directly if that's really appropriate for Lucia:

"Do you think by talking to the media you are looking out for the best interests of Lucia?" She was also grilled about talking to TMZ, who reported this story.

Oksana's lawyers tried to get the judge to invalidate the couple's mediation agreement from May (which Oksana now disavows), but Gordon shut them down.

That issue wasn't before the court, he said. The next court date is November 22, during which Grigorieva will take the stand for further cross-examination.

Mel's ex-girlfriend alleges Gibson cheated on her and committed violent acts against her, allegations that have not been substantiated - at least by the law.

In addition to attaining sole custody of Lucia, Oksana wants the judge to order Mel to seek therapy. So far, Gordon has been unmoved by such requests.

Computer of Oksana Grigorieva: Seized!

According to reports, the Oksana Grigorieva extortion investigation is weeks away from being completed, thanks in large part to whatever's on her computer.

We don't actually know what's on it, but the L.A. County Sheriff's Department says officials are "knee-deep" in downloading and reviewing the data on it.

OG's lawyers tried to block investigators from reviewing most of the data in her computer, but a judge said it was fair game and ordered it confiscated.

What is Oksana Grigorieva hiding on that thing?

One of the major downloads is almost complete, but there is still a lot of other data that must be retrieved and reviewed pertaining to the Mel Gibson case.

All the witnesses have been interviewed and when the data is reviewed it will be sent on to the L.A. County District Attorney, who will decide Oksana's fate.

The decision on whether to prosecute Oksana for extortion will be made at the same time the D.A. decides whether to prosecute Mel for domestic violence.

The pair is also battling over custody of their daughter Lucia. At his court deposition last week, Mel answered questions but gave her the silent treatment.

The long and short of it? We all know Oksana wants cash from Mel. But did she break the law in secretly recording him and trying to blackmail him for it?

What Oksana Grigorieva Really Wants

Cash. That's what it boils down to for Oksana Grigorieva in her ongoing crusade against Mel Gibson, which is ostensibly about custody of their daughter, Lucia.

The real fight between Oksana and Mel most likely stems from a legal document created before Lucia was even born one year ago, according to a TMZ report.

The Icon Trust, created by Mel and wife Robyn Gibson to provide for their seven children, defines the children as ones born from Mel Gibson or Robyn Gibson.

GETTING HERS: Oksana's apparently determined to.

When the trust was drafted, no one thought Mel or Robyn, married for nearly three decades, would have a child outside the marriage. Enter Oksana Grigorieva.

Sources connected with Mel and Robyn say everyone wants Lucia to be taken care of, but adding her as a beneficiary in Mel's trust creates complex tax issues.

For whatever reason, Mel didn't want that to happen. So when he and Oksana broke up and struck a settlement deal in May, this was one of the key points.

In addition to her handing over the Mel Gibson rants, the very first term of the deal says "Oksana consents to amendment of Icon Trust to exclude Lucia."

In return for excluding Lucia, Mel agreed to provide a financial package for the baby worth more between $8 million and $15 million, according to reports.

As we know, Oksana agreed to this deal but balked at the last minute, and has gone after Mel for all he's worth every since. Why turn her back on that?

TMZ says lawyers advising Oksana say Lucia got royally screwed by giving up an interest in the trust, which they said would be worth up to $50 million.

In other words, one-eighth of a $400 million trust.

Close Mel sources say the money in the trust is not even in the same universe of $400 million, but whatever's in it, Team Oksana felt it needed a piece.

If Oksana's lawyers persist and Mel settles out of court, the attorneys get a percentage of the settlement. So they've convinced Oksana to go for it.

Sorry, little Lucia. We missed your first birthday over the weekend. But we weren't the only ones.

Oksana Grigorieva threw a party for her daughter on Saturday afternoon, inviting 20 friends and family members. Mel Gibson's invite must have been lost in the mail, however.

The actor - who was deposed today, with Oksana sitting alongside her lawyer and across from her baby's daddy during the three-hour Q&A - was absent from the festivities, which took place at Oksana's home in Sherman Oaks.

As her parents continue their ugly, public custody battle, Lucia resides with Grigorieva, but often sees Gibson. Their overnight visits take place approximately once a week.

If Mel wants to get his his child a present, we hear her mother is looking for something green.

Mel Gibson Will Testify in Child Custody Battle

After months of speculation, rumors and insane Mel Gibson rants, we'll finally hear from the actor himself. Or at least a judge will. He's being deposed Monday.

Oksana Grigorieva's lawyers finally snagged a sit-down interview with Gibson, though the deposition will only involve their child custody battle over Lucia.

In other words, domestic violence allegations against him are off-limits.

Mel will finally give his side of the story. Sort of.

"Mel's team agreed to have him sit for the deposition November 1," a source said. "Mel will decline to discuss the alleged assault on Oksana, citing his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination given the active police investigation."

Oksana Grigorieva - already in crisis after their family law specialist quit on Sunday - is facing even more obstacles behind the scenes, as she feels she does not have a qualified lawyer who can interrogate the Oscar-winning actor/director.

Her lead attorney, Martin Garbus, is unable to practice in California after a judge rejected his pro hac vice motion last week, as Radar Online reported.

Oksana's other lawyer, Lisa Bloom, will be in London to speak before the House of Commons on climate change on the same day Mel is being deposed.

Given Garbus' inability to be admitted in California, and Bloom's scheduling conflict, it is unclear who is going to take Mel's deposition, sources report.

Daniel Horowitz is her only attorney available.

Oksana's lawyers have been trying to schedule a deposition with Mel since August after he missed two dates due to his vacation with his children.

However, a Los Angeles judge ordered Mel to submit to the attorneys' questioning before another judge and gave him a November 10 deadline.

"I've never leaked those tapes," she says of the infamous audio that surfaced in July, in which Mel rages against her in a series of explosive phone calls.

She says she does not know how the tapes surfaced, and also denies that she ever attempted to extort any money from Mel Gibson. Both likely stories.

Come on. Mel is a hateful moron who needs serious help, but hasn't been charged with a crime, and there's plenty of evidence of Oksana bilking him.

An L.A. Sheriff's investigation is underway as to whether Grigorieva attempted to extort millions from Gibson in exchange for keeping the tapes private.

Meanwhile, the L.A. district attorney is determining whether to charge Gibson with domestic violence in an alleged attack on Oksana back in January.

Unlike her unscrupulous PR offensive, Gibson's attorneys have taken the opposite tack and declined comment about Grigorieva’s interview with People.

Grigorieva maintains that her primary focus is the couple's 1-year-old daughter Lucia, who lives with her mom but sees her dad nearly every other day.

"I'm fighting for my daughter," says Oksana, who split with Mel earlier this year. "He needs to understand that and stop destroying me and my name."

Why is she speaking out so publicly?

"I would like for people to know the real Mel Gibson," she says. "Even though he's rich and famous, he's a bully ... And I want other women that are in my situation to stand up to the bullies, even though it's difficult and scary."

Oksana Grigorieva says Mel Gibson puts us all at risk.

As expected, Oksana alleges in an interview with People that Mel flew off the handle at her on January 6 in the presence of their one-year-old daughter Lucia and her 13-year-old son Sasha (from a previous relationship with Timothy Dalton).

The L.A. District Attorney is mulling whether to charge Mel with for domestic violence, while a separate investigation is underway as to whether Grigorieva tried to extort millions from the actor in exchange for destroying the Mel Gibson tapes.

That clearly didn't happen, as the tapes were leaked. But Grigorieva says she wasn't involved, and that the star became enraged on January 6 for no real reason and repeatedly struck her while she held Lucia and Sasha cowered under the bed.

That's when she said Mel was gonna kill her.

"When the domestic violence event happened ... we were both completely terrified and devastated," Grigorieva recalled. "Mel kept spitting on my face until it was covered in saliva ...he kept screaming like a crazy man. It's a scary sight."

Indeed ... if it's true. Do you believe her? There are certainly those who do not, accusing her of lying, digging for gold and throwing around terms like battered wife syndrome to explain why she's only coming forward against him now.

Mel Gibson, Oksana Grigorieva Investigations Still Underway, Will Conclude Concurrently

The L.A. County District Attorney will be treating the Mel Gibson domestic violence investigation and the Oksana Grigorieva extortion probe as a "package deal."

According to reports, that means a decision will be made on whether to file chargesat the same time. Both investigations are ongoing. Both deny wrongdoing.

TMZ reports that the D.A. will make filing decisions on both investigations at the same time, once both investigations have concluded. The L.A. County Sheriff's Department is still a ways away from sending the extortion case to the D.A.

Basically, don't expect charges against Mel, Oksana or both for a while.

Oksana Grigorieva claims Mel Gibson exploded in rage January 6 at his Malibu mansion and punched her twice as she held their baby Lucia.

She is considering filing a possible civil complaint against Mel.

Mel and Oksana's relationship has been controversial from the start.

Gibson has accused his ex-girlfriend of trying to extort money from him after recording vile and abusive telephone conversations he made.

The Mel Gibson tapes were indeed vile and abusive ... verbally. As of right now, Mel Gibson has not been charged with any crime, however.

Bodyguard Group is on Team Oksana Grigorieva

The majority of THG poll respondents stand with Mel Gibson in his ongoing legal and custody battles with his controversial ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva.

We're guessing her bodyguards don't read THG. Their loss.

In any case, the men who are currently protecting her - all U.S. military veterans - are coming to her defense and making it clear they're on Team Oksana.

If you missed it, Oksana alleges he abused her and their eight-month-old daughter, Lucia, in January. Authorities are investigating but haven't charged Mel.

Many are skeptical, but bodyguards believe her. The Bodyguard Group, a referral service for veterans, just posted the following statement on its site:

"The Bodyguard Group has reviewed both versions of events and ALL of our members agree that ONLY Oksana is being 100% honest... We ask that everyone support Oksana and take a stand against all men who abuse women and children."

While it's unusual for bodyguards who don't normally take sides to be so vocal, the post adds, "We could not keep silent after the abuse Oksana suffered."

It is unclear if any bodyguards are the witnesses her attorneys claim saw Mel hit Oksana, but they seem fairly certain the actor was abusive in some way.

Violet Kowal, Other Mel Gibson Mistress, Lawyers Up

Remember Violet Kowal? Mel Gibson's OTHER alleged mistress? No? Well, she wants to make sure she's not left out of the actor's recent saga - financially.

Kowal, a 39-year-old "fitness model" (some have referred to her as a porn actress) from Poland, has just retained the services of attorney Gloria Allred.

Back in May, we reported that Violet Kowal claimed she had an affair with Mel Gibson while Oksana Grigorieva was pregnant with their daughter Lucia.

If he were putting it to Violet while living with Oksana (while married to Robyn), that would add a new twist - if it's even true or he violated any laws.

In case you haven't read any celebrity gossip for the past month or so, Mel and Oksana are engaged in a brutal legal and custody battle over Lucia.

The Mel Gibson tapes - in which he rants and berates her in the most foul way imaginable - and accusations of violence have dominated headlines.

Mel has personally been MIA lately and that's because he's on a family fishing trip with two of his sons, much to Oksana Grigorieva's consternation.

Oksana's laywers tried to schedule Gibson's deposition for the ongoing child custody battle in the middle of his trip. The court date has been delayed.

Her people think the delay is evidence that Mel is not committed to Lucia. TMZ reports Mel will be "front and center for his deposition in short order."

Oksana Grigorieva: Mel Gibson Hit Son, Threw TV at Wife

Oksana Grigorieva continues to make shocking allegations against Mel Gibson, telling law enforcement that he hit his son and hurled a TV at his wife.

The actor's ex-girlfriend says she personally witnessed him hitting his youngest son, Tommy, and that Mel personally admitted the TV incident to her.

Mel's soon-to-be-ex-wife, Robyn Gibson, submitted a sworn affidavit to the court stating Mel was not abusive to her or his children once in 28 years.

But Oksana Grigorieva, who claims Mel punched her twice and that she feared for her life and that of their baby daughter Lucia, says otherwise.

The Russian singer and pianist alleges that Mel hit Tommy in the head while at a hockey game at L.A.'s Staples Center two-and-a-half-years ago.

“Oksana told authorities about Mel’s ‘angry outbursts’ toward his own family and friends,” said a source familiar with the Mel Gibson investigation.

Another disturbing day in the Mel-Oksana saga.

“She said that Mel, in her presence, hit Tommy, in the head, while they were in a box watching a hockey game. She said Tommy started crying and whimpered for the rest of the game, choosing to sit by himself, away from his father.”

Tommy was nine at the time. He is one of Mel’s seven children with Robyn, whom he split from in 2009. He got Oksana pregnant around that time.

As for the alleged attack on Robyn, a Russian newspaper quotes Oksana:

“Mel said several times how he threw a TV into her (Robyn) once when they were arguing. Thank god he missed and the TV fell out a second story window.”

Yes ... thank God he hurled a television set but happened to miss Robyn and it sailed through the window. Is there any way that's even remotely true? Would Robyn really forget that and/or lie under penalty of perjury if so?

This doesn't mean it's a lie that Mel abused Oksana, or that he doesn't need serious psychiatric help. Those rants prove as much. But it seems as if the deluge of tall tales and shady actions from her camp only make her case less credible.

The accusations against Mel Gibson keep piling up. The actor's ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, claims he grabbed her son and threw him on a table in a rage.

All over a cigarette, no less.

Oksana's son is 12, and his father is her ex, Timothy Dalton. The potential significance of the cigarette incident with Gibson is that may have been witnesses.

That's a stark contrast to the Mel Gibson tapes, which - despite their awfulness - were recorded without his consent, in unknown context, and possibly edited.

With regard to the alleged attack on Oksana's son Alexander, who also goes by Sacha, the boy was playfully trying to knock a cigarette out of Mel's mouth.

Oksana claims that Mel just exploded, grabbing the boy and throwing him violently onto a table. The issue came up during their custody mediation in May.

At that point, Mel and Oksana were trying to work out an custody deal for daughter Lucia, eight months - and a financial settlement that involved the tapes.

For reasons unknown, Oksana left $15 million on the table.

In any case, Oksana's people informed Mel's lawyers of the attack, while his camp says "numerous adults and children" saw the incident - and differently.

Mel's lawyers claim witnesses will say it just goofing around and Mel did not get physical with Sacha, who accidentally fell as he was jumping for Mel's smoke.

The criminal domestic violence investigation hinges on credibility. Right now, it's hard to establish who has it. The tapes are bad, but criminally, prove little.

Oksana Grigorieva Abuse Photo; Were Injuries Caused By Mel Gibson or Self-Inflicted?

The Mel Gibson tapes are disturbing and reveal a terrible temper, but Oksana Grigorieva is still lacking for evidence that the actor physically attacked her.

Until now ... maybe.

Earlier this morning, Radar Online posted a photo of Oksana taken hours after she claims Gibson punched her in the face during a January 6 altercation.

The image is part of the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department's ongoing investigation of the deeply troubled actor, who may face domestic violence charges.

It’s also being used by Oksana in her custody battle with Mel over their eight-month-old daughter Lucia. You can see the awful photo for yourself here.

The question is: Did Mel Gibson do it?

Not necessarily. Oksana says he punched her twice in the mouth, knocking out her teeth and giving her a concussion. But is the pic consistent with that claim?

According to TMZ, Oksana's teeth were not damaged, despite her dentist submitting in a declaration that one veneer was knocked out and another damaged.

Experts who have analyzed the photos believe that Grigorieva's injury is inconsistent with being punched in the mouth since there is no soft tissue damage.

In other words, it may have been self-inflicted and this is a shakedown.

There is "no evidence of external or internal damage," a law enforcement source told the celebrity gossip site. Mel has denied physically attacking Oksana.

Gibson's lawyers are expected to accuse Oksana of trying to extort Mel out of more than $10 million in return for keeping the tapes of his tirades private.

As for the rant in which Mel apparently admits beating Oksana, telling her she deserved it after she referenced him punching her, that's questionable too.

Mel's legal team wants taped rants thrown out as evidence because of "strong evidence" they were edited and tampered with ... it's all extremely weird.

Basically, the Gibson tapes are what they are - in terms of vulgarity, and proving in chilling detail that one of Hollywood's biggest stars needs serious help.

Mel Gibson is a vile, sexist, racist, hate-filled individual.

That said, the fact that his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Oksana Grigorieva, was secretly recording him on the phone begs another set of questions.

Oksana Grigorieva says she never meant for the nasty Mel Gibson tape to go public and has "no idea" who leaked it. Uhhh, so since she recorded it, who did?

Mel and Oksana are currently battling over custody of their eight-month-old daughter, Lucia. She accuses him of hitting her and even of making a gun threat.

Is Oksana Grigorieva trying to set Mel Gibson up?

Confronted by Pacific Coast News, Oksana did not have much to say about Mel, but insists she didn't want the tapes out there and she thinks "it's terrible."

Mel's side isn't buying her story, and his lawyers have already filed a contempt motion against Grigorieva because they believe she did in fact leak the tapes.

It's unclear what the consequences would be if they prove this, but attorneys for Gibson allege that Oksana is lying about him hitting her and is extorting him.

They say she recorded him in secret and wanted money for the tapes.

None of this changes that Mel's true colors - those of a boorish, despicable human being - were exposed on the tape. But it makes you question her motives.

Not only is it true, he threatened to do it again ... and worse.

In a new eight-minute audiotape so vulgar and shocking it defies comprehension, Mel admits to hitting Oksana, says she deserved it and threatens her further.

This recording makes the previous Mel Gibson rant look tame.

Mel’s deeply disturbing remarks on the tape, which you can listen to after the jump (it is extremely upsetting) could be a powerful piece of evidence against the star in the criminal investigation that is being conducted by the authorities.

Rambling and so enraged that he's gasping for breath, Mel pants heavily in between vile insults on the tape, at times nearly incapable of speaking. It's not an exaggeration to call this the most bizarre, infamous celebrity meltdown in history.

Equally strange? That Oksana remains perfectly calm throughout, presumably because she's taping it. Not that Mel's conduct is in any way justified, but there are no words capable of describing this ... no one should ever be THAT worked up.

What could have happened to trigger this kind of rage?

In any case, the tape, if legitimate, which it certainly appears to be after we've listened to it twice, the tape is not only big trouble for Gibson in the domestic violence investigation, but for his career prospects. It's that bad.
