50 Cent Tweets Stock Tips, Banks $8.7 Million

Yes, you read both parts of the above headline correctly.

50 Cent made a fortune from rapping, but that doesn't mean he's content to rest on his laurels and Tweet photos of himself with stacks of cash all day.

Okay, well he does do that a fair amount But our point is that 50, a.k.a. Curtis Jackson, is proving quite the businessman in addition to entertainer.

MAKIN' BANK: Chelsea Handler must be attracted to more than his rap skills.

50 Cent recently Tweeted about a penny stock company he's invested in ... one that's up 290 percent since he pitched the stock tip to 3.8 million followers.

"You can double your money right now. Just get what you can afford," 50 tweeted about a Florida company, H&H Imports. "They are no joke get in now."

He received 30 million shares of H&H in a private placement last October, buying portions of his stake at 15 cents, 25 cents and - no kidding - 50 cents.

H&H closed up 29 cents the other day, boosting Jackson's 30 million-share stake by $8.7 million. Might he have a second career as a financial advisor?

This wasn't his first foray into the investment world either.

Earlier this month, Jackson also "personally endorsed" a line of mobile audio products that are made by another Florida company, Sleek Audio, H&H said.

Jackson talked up the headphones when he appeared on TV last week from the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. We eagerly await that Tweet.

Oksana Grigorieva on Bribe Allegation: I'm Broke!

Accused of bribing a witness by Mel Gibson's legal team, Oksana Grigorieva says she couldn't bribe anybody if she wanted too ... she couldn't pay for it.

Oksana has categorically denied the claim alleged by Mel's attorneys (via Radar Online) that she tried to bribe a witness in her legal battle with Gibson.

Said her spokesman: “The suggestion is false. She never bribed anyone. She understands the law and has excellent counsel. Besides, she is broke.”

We wouldn't put it past her, but she does have a point.

Yesterday, we reported how lawyers for Gibson, who has alleged that Oksana tried to extort him, plan to present evidence that she tried to bribe a witness.

The individual, whose identity is not yet known, is somehow relevant in both the criminal and family law probes that are ongoing in the couple's skirmish.

Mel also charges that Oksana is malicious and not acting in the best interests of their one-year-old daughter, and should therefore lose custody ASAP.

LeBron James knows why the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the Lakers by 55 points last night and why his former team has the worst record in basketball: fans of the franchise are being punished by God for daring to boo the superstar.

We wish we were joking, but LeBron took to Twitter after the Cavs blow out and wrote: Crazy. Karma is a bitch. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!

This, of course, would mean that God also watched The Decision and yet has chosen to support James in light of the most egotistical act in the history of professional sports. Weird.

We wish He would stick to forcing Steve Johnson to drop game-winning touchdown passes.

Judge Orders Conrad Murray to Stand Trial in Death of Michael Jackson, Suspends Doctor's License

Dr. Conrad Murray will be tried in the death of Michael Jackson. Judge Michael Pastor said sufficient evidence was presented at the preliminary hearing.

While completely expected, this marks a significant development, as the case against Murray on involuntary manslaughter charges proved compelling.

Deputy D.A. David Walgren told the judge in his closing argument that, "It was not Michael Jackson's time to go" and that Conrad Murray is responsible.

As expected, Dr. Murray will stand trial for MJ's demise.

"Michael Jackson is not here today because of the negligence and reckless acts of Dr. Murray," said Walgren of the defendant, who sat stone-faced.

Walgren said Murray cared more about hiding evidence than helping MJ.

Judge Pastor's ruling followed a six-day preliminary hearing in which more than 20 witnesses were called. Murray's medical license was also suspended.

Murray's lawyer, Ed Chernoff, tells TMZ, "We are disappointed but not surprised. We knew we would be in trial and that's where we're going to end up."

Chernoff's defense theory, that Michael Jackson killed himself, has not fully been extrapolated upon, but he did put out feelers last week and this week.

The D.A. appears ready for it, however, calling a doctor who says that even if Jackson administered the fatal dose, it's still homicide and Murray's fault.

Judge Michael Pastor ordered the suspension as a condition to Dr. Murray's bail. The Medical Board of California asked for the suspension repeatedly.

Dr. Murray has 24 hours to notify the medical boards in Texas and Nevada, where he was licensed to practice up until now, of Judge Pastor's decision.

Murray's team says he needs to work to afford counsel, and believes the move is a power play designed to take away his right to defend himself.

Not likely, as the evidence against him suggests gross mistreatment. It also wasn't revoked, but suspended. If he were acquitted, he'd get it back.

It is worth noting that Murray is still innocent until proven guilty and convicted by a jury of his peers. All this did was establish that a trial is warranted.

The Sarah Palin stalker wants the world to know he's innocent.

His hilarious, dubious explanation? Sarah texted him first!

The father of 19-year-old Shawn Christy says that back in 2009, his son began receiving "ominous" text messages from an unknown number.

The person sending the texts dropped several hints about her identity, including that she's from Alaska and works in politics ... obviously, it was Sarah Palin.

Why would Palin contact some random guy in Pennsylvania? Shawn's dad couldn't explain that part, but they alerted the FBI about these mystery texts.

The bureau didn't investigate Sarah, instead turning on Shawn, gathering evidence against him to secure the restraining order that he's still under.

Shawn's dad says they've spent thousands fighting the protective order to no avail and have since been forced to declare bankruptcy. Really, guys?

Why do you need the order lifted? Just don't go near Sarah Palin. Is that so hard? Besides, Sarah would just Facebook you anyway. Texts? Come on.

When Jenny McCarthy, who co-hosted ABC's Rockin New Year's Eve, kissed a man next to her in Times Square at midnight, some viewers thought a total stranger had received the shock of a lifetime.

But Paul Krepelka knew better. He had been dating Jim Carrey's ex for about four weeks at the time.

During an appearance on Ellen that will air today, McCarthy opened up about her new boyfriend.

Krepelka is a sports agent who resides in Boston, meaning he and McCarthy have to make like Up in the Air and meet in both cities to "make it work," she says.

"Evan is on the strictest VIP meet and greet, which is like 6 months," McCarthy says. "I don't have guys meeting him on a cycle. That boy is very important to me."

Chely Wright came out as a gay country artist in May 2010.

But while some critics may believe that announcement was publicity-driven, Wright says the result has been anything but positive for her career.

"I haven't talked about the negative," Wright said this week. "You won't hear me bitching and moaning on my Facebook about the hate mail I've gotten. My life has been threatened. I get nasty letters every day, 'I'm through with you Chely Wright, you're going to hell.'"

"They wouldn't want their fans to know they were LGBT friendly," the singer says of private messages other stars have offered. "There are also artist friends who I never heard from again. Miley Cyrus to Anchor Supernatural Thriller?

The movie offers continue to come in for Miley Cyrus.

First, her mother reportedly optioned the rights for a music video to be made into a feature-length film.

Now, the screenwriter behind Disturbia and Paranormal Activity 2 has said in a new interview that he hopes to work with Cyrus on "Wake," a big screen version of Lisa McMann's book series.

"It's sort of a vehicle for Miley Cyrus," Landon says. "She is looking to sort of get out of her cutesy Hannah Montana image... She wanted to do something a little edgier and a little darker, so we're making this movie hopefully... It's about a teenage girl who has a rare form of narcalepsy. When she's within a certain distance of someone sleeping, she passes out and goes into their dreams."

Landon says there's "definitely a spooky element to it."

Cyrus has made it clear she hopes to be taken seriously as a movie actress. She just finished filming LOL with Demi Moore and Ashley Greene.
