Kate Gosselin Planning Special "Jon & Kate Themed Routine" For Dancing with the Stars

Kate Gosselin proved she's as good at being a diva as she is terrible at actual dancing, but she somehow survived to see another week on Dancing with the Stars.

While Kate butted heads with partner Tony Dovolani this past week, wait until you hear what they have planned for next Monday's episode of the competition.

A Jon-and-Kate-themed dance.

We are totally serious. Tony will be channeling Jon Gosselin as Kate portrays herself in next week's storytelling assignment. Just let that sink in for a moment:

They will take her marriage implosion, which made celebrity news headlines for a year, into a high-step dance routine. And you think you've heard everything.

Dancing ManiacDressed For Success

If Jon Gosselin makes a cameo next week, we'll retire.

"It's my story over the past two years," Kate said. "We're very, very excited." It will be very "Dramatic," promises Kate. To which Tony replies, "Lots of drama."

And ratings, most likely. Can Julianne Hough play Hailey Glassman?

Just to make sure we got the point, Kate reiterated, this time with a little more emphasis, that this is gonna be a dance with "Oh my gosh, so much drama."

As much as we could decry this shark-jumping, contrived nonsense as a low point in reality TV history, it's actually a pretty genius move on ABC's part since:

  • People love Kate and don't want to see her leave the show
  • People love watching Kate humiliate herself on the show

Either way, she's on the show. Punch her ticket to the finals now.

It's a Justin Bieber World

My World, if you're in Justin Bieber's shoes, is not just the name of his album ... or his second album, My World 2.0. It's what the teenage baller rules. Hard.

The rest of us just live here. He should really charge rent.

Sure, the dude could keep a lid on it sometimes, saying Miley Cyrus isn't his type or that Mariah Carey is past her prime. But his sales back up his attitude.

My World 2.0 topped the album charts this week, making Justin Bieber the youngest male solo artist ever to score a No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart.

Biebergasm

HIS WORLD: Justin Bieber. Cannot. Be. Stopped.

The prepubescent singer is also the youngest male solo artist to score two simultaneous albums in the top five (as My World rounds out this week's list).

With his forthcoming national tour dates and an upcoming April 10 appearance on Saturday Night Live, Bieber is inching closer to pop culture domination.

Oh who are we kidding, he's already dominated. Just be grateful you can even check out our gallery of Justin Bieber pictures and bow down to the king.

Heather McComb, James van der Beek Finalize Divorce Terms

The Bank of Beek is open for Heather McComb.

James Van Der Beek is now one step closer to freedom, reaching a settlement with his estranged wife to amicably end their seven-year marriage this week.

Per court documents, the former Dawson's Creek star and McComb hashed out the deal through mediation. He agreed to pay $7,750 a month until 2013.

Heather McComb, a onetime Party of Fiver who has guested on CSI and Prison Break, currently earns just $1,750 a month. The Beek? $35,000. Damn.

The actor will also retain possession of the couple's Hollywood home and keep residuals from his acting career and various projects/screenplays he's optioned/written.

Van Der Beek and McComb, 32, tied the knot in July 2003. He filed for divorce late last year citing irreconcilable differences. The couple does not have any children.

The divorce should be official later this year.

Critics Slam Miley Cyrus, The Last Song

On more than one recent occasion, Miley Cyrus has said she plans on taking a hiatus from music to focus on acting.

Let's hope her future efforts on the big screen go better than The Last Song.

A majority of film critics have come down hard on the movie, specifically citing Miley's acting as "stiff" and "unconvincing." Here are excerpts of what they had to say about the flick, which opens this week...

A more convincing star could make this a degree more tolerable, although in Cyrus's defense not much more. Allegedly, this is the film in which Cyrus gets all, like, dramatic. If by 'dramatic' one means pouty, sullen, and cute, then OK. -- The Boston Globe

Acting, for the moment at least, seems almost entirely beyond her... she pouts, slouches, storms in and out of rooms and occasionally cracks a snaggle-toothed smile, but most of the time she seems to be mugging for the camera, play-acting rather than exploring the motives and feelings of her character. -- The New York Times

Cute Costars

Miley Cyrus met boyfriend Liam Hemsworth on the set of The Last Song. That's about the only positive thing to come from the movie.

It's the worst of both worlds as Disney cash cow Miley Cyrus makes the most dubious "dramatic" debut of any singer since Britney Spears. -- The New York Post

As likable a performer as she is, Cyrus simply can't act. Even Sparks' formulaic material proves too challenging for her. -- The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel

All the obvious elements combine to manipulate the audience into a weepy time at the movies - again. -- USA Today

Will you go see The Last Song? If so, write in and share your opinion on the movie... and/or your advice as to what field Miley might wish to consider next.

Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin: Heating Up!

Whitney Port and Ben Nemtin are heating up Chicago. That's right, the WINDY City!

The relationship made in MTV heaven, pairing up The City and The Buried Life stars, began earlier this year when they started "hanging out," and has gotten serious.

Nemtin recently helped Port celebrate her 25th birthday during an intimate bash at the Los Angeles restaurant Cecconi's. Things only got more romantic from there.

When Ben Nemtin needed to be in Chicago last week to film The Oprah Winfrey Show for an episode scheduled to air April 9, Whitney joined him in the Windy City.

Not that it was all business.

The new couple kicked back at the Chicago hotspot The Underground on Saturday night. In between sips of Patron, Port chatted up and planted kisses on her guy.

Also on hand? The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and fiancee Ed Swiderski chatting with club owner Billy Dec. But back to Port and Nemtin. Says a club source:

"They were definitely flirty and affectionate all night."

Here's hoping they stay that way - what a cute pair!

Sandra Bullock: The Final Humiliation

Newly-minuted Oscar winner Sandra Bullock was on top of the world just a few weeks ago. Now she's hit rock bottom amid the tawdry Jesse James cheating scandal.

James nailed Michelle McGee, Melissa Smith, Brigitte Daguerre and possibly others - but it was a shocking discovery of her own that sent The Blind Side star reeling.

Reeling so hard, according to reports, that it's left Sandra Bullock wondering if she can ever face her cheating hubby, who just checked in to rehab in Tucson, again.

Star reports that Sandra "mistakenly grabbed Jesse's laptop in the rush to move out of the house they shared in Sunset Beach, Calif." What she found? SICK stuff.

No, seriously. We're talking worse than the Jesse James Nazi photo.

Says a source, "the explicit material rocked her to the core... she stumbled upon some really twisted evidence proving he's not the man she thought he was." Uhh...

What Sandra Saw

WHAT SANDRA SAW ... made her collapse and not eat?

"She found things on his laptop that she'd never thought her husband would be into," the source adds vaguely. "This was way beyond anything she could imagine."

Sandra was so horrified, she "had to have the computer removed from her house." Okay, what the heck was this guy doing, running a ... you know what, forget it.

The insider concludes his or her in-depth report with this brutally honest truth: "Sandra's just completely devastated that Jesse led a double life behind her back!"

Wow, ya think? Bold statement there.
