Even before 48 Hours producer Joe Halderman caught Letterman kissing his girlfriend, Late Show staffer Stephanie Birkitt, he and Dave were on a collision course.

DWTS Peeps Love Kate Gosselin Somehow

Kate Gosselin is fitting in nicely on Dancing With the Stars, according to reports. Its cast members apparently never watched her on Jon & Kate Plus 8.

On Tuesday, the reality-mom turned amateur dancer met with her Dancing With the Stars rivals in a Hollywood studio for a promotional photo shoot.

"Kate was so nice," a set source tells Us Weekly. "Everyone loved her. She was funny, cordial and accommodating." Adds the insider: "It was a surprise!"

The star's dancing partner, Tony Dovolani, agrees. Following their Good Morning America visit Tuesday, he Tweeted, "Kate and I are getting along great."

"She is [an amazing] Mom and it looks like she is going to become a great dancer too! Kate and I are having a blast today. [We] had a nice long day of photo shoots and title shoots and I think both of us are ready to just pass out lol."

LOL, indeed.

Will Kate Gosselin hold her own on Dancing with the Stars?

Kate has her work cut out against the likes of Chad Ochocinco, Erin Andrews, Damian Whitewood and Jake Pavelka. But she's riding a wave of confidence.

Monday on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Gosselin said she "can't dance," but nevertheless "I'm gonna win." One strategy: employ her eight kids to vote for her.

Dovolani plans to travel with her to her Wernersville, Pa. home and rehearse at a "local studio" or in the basement studio DWTS had made for Kate.

Gosselin praises Dovolani as "a very positive person. Even when I mess up really, really bad - which is a lot - he still has something positive to say."

Keyshia Cole and Daniel Gibson: It's a Boy!

R&B singer Keyshia Cole and baller fiancé Daniel Gibson of the NBA's Cleveland Cavaliers are parents of their first child. His name? Daniel Gibson, Jr.

Hey, sometimes you gotta go with what you know, right?

At 7 lb., 3 oz., bundle of joy about matches Gibson's points per game average, and arrived at 11:54 p.m. Tuesday night, the star's rep confirms.

"Both mother and baby are doing great," says Cole's publicist, Tresa Sanders.

"Keyshia would also like to give a special thank-you to her fans that have been with her since the beginning, sharing in her growth as a woman and an artist."

In December, Cole and Gibson announced her pregnancy.

In January, they announced that they are engaged.

Judge to Levi Johnston: Pay Up Some More!

Levi Johnston screwed Bristol Palin at least once. Now a judge is putting the screws to him for not making good on required child support payments for their son.

Last week, he was ordered to pay $18,500 in back child support for 13-month-old son Tripp, or approximately $18,488 more than a box of condoms runs at CVS.

Now he's being told to cough up another $3,500, ASAP. Where will he get that kind of cash on short notice? Time for another round of Levi Johnston nude pics!

To be fair, Levi didn't do anything wrong ... at least anything additional.

Levi Johnston has a lot of bills to pay.

Long story short: an Alaska judge re-ran the numbers and determined the $18,000 in child support payments Bristol Palin requested from Levi was way too low.

So now, according to legal papers filed this week back home, Levi is on the hook for $21,561.12. Rough times for an aspiring actor and occasional naked model.

This is serious business, too. If Levi doesn't fork over the cash in a timely manner, he could face some serious consequences. We're talking fines and possibly jail.

The other night, Jay Leno asked Sarah Palin if she had any future TV plans, and she joked that she heard his position opens up every once in awhile.

Well it turns out she already has a TV plan of sorts. The former Alaska Governor and Survivor creator Mark Burnett are shopping a new docudrama.

Seriously. The TV project features a "planet-Earth-type look" at her home state of Alaska. We have no idea what that means, but it sounds ... cool?

We'll assume it refers to the acclaimed Discovery Channel series Planet Earth. Which has sort of already done what they're describing if so. Anyway.

So much Sarah Palin on TV. Not enough hours in the day.

Palin and Burnett had a meeting with Fox honchos yesterday, and are talking with ABC and CBS today and NBC Universal tomorrow. So this is legit.

After three months of estrangement, some sources say Elin Woods has finally agreed to resume living at home with her cheating jackass husband.

Whether or not that's actually true? Unclear.

Since his bizarre double life was exposed, Tiger has spent approximately six weeks in rehab at Hattiesburg, Miss., and later received more therapy in Arizona.

Emilie de Ravin on Robert Pattinson: He's a Lovely Guy

As Robert Pattinson continues to make the media rounds, his Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin is praising the actor at every turn.

Asked in general about the Twilight Saga stud, the Austrlian beauty told E! News:

"He's a lovely guy. Nothing felt unnatural or weird."

Except, perhaps, the atmosphere around the set. The movie was filmed in New York City and Pattinson fans would line the streets, trying to get a look at their favorite star, snapping photos, screaming.

"Crazy is the word," de Ravin said. "It's a little challenging sometimes. We were very accessible to people in Manhattan... You're trying to work out your rehearsal and all these eyes just watching everything you're doing."

In Remember Me, Pattinson portrays the rebellious son of a wealthy New Yorker. He falls in love with de Ravin's Ally, the daughter of a Queens cop. It takes place in late 2001, so you can imagine the recent tragedy everyone in that city is facing.

According to de Ravin said, you better bring a box of tissues with you to the theater: "If you don't cry, there's something wrong with you."

And we don't think she's referring to the reaction many women have when they simply see Pattinson.

Chick Claims Affair with Engaged Jake Pavelka, Says ABC "Instructed" Vienna Girardi Proposal

Radar Online may have topped itself with this one.

Citing an ex-girlfriend with no name, and offering no details of any actual sex, that site says Jake Pavelka cheated on Vienna Girardi with some random ex.

His alleged ex-girlfriend says The Bachelor star "made contact" with her after taping the show. Scandalous! He also said that Vienna meant nothing to him.

Supposedly.

The woman has not been publicly identified, possibly because she does not exist. But whoever it is gave a garbled interview on some Florida radio station.

In the interview, the woman says that Jake was forced to propose to Vienna Girardi. From what we know of The Bachelor, that part might really be true!

For a guy who's supposedly cheating on Vienna and in love with some nameless other woman, Jake sure looked happy yesterday in his sit-down with Ellen DeGeneres.

“When you get down on one knee and propose marriage to someone I take that very seriously,” she says through distorted audio. “The fact that he did that exclusively because he was instructed to do that, it disappoints me so much.”

Instructed. You knowz it. That's how Chris Harrison rolls.

The supposed Jake Pavelka ex reveals that they had made plans together for the future and even had a possible marriage discussion. She feels she was lied to.

“His actions are a complete 180 of that person he claims to be," she says. "I feel like I'm forced to say something for the sole purpose of defending my honor.”

Mmm hmm. This is even more absurd than the story yesterday claiming Vienna is an evil mastermind who manipulated Ali and conned Jake into proposing.

Jake started calling her after he finished taping The Bachelor, she says, and those phone calls led to an in person meeting and "he told her he loved her."

Crystal Bowersox Rocks, and Other American Idol Women Sing Well

She went from the hospital bed to the American Idol stage to the leader of the season nine pack in just 24 hours.

Indeed, we aren't the first website to shower Crystal Bowersox with praise - and we definitely won't be the last - but it's well-deserved.

On a night of live performances that overshadowed the guys' lackluster efforts the evening before, Bowersox recovered from a dangerous illness and led the way. We run down the top 10 below...

1. Crystal Bowersox: She gets points for showing up and for not playing the sympathy card. But especially for her unique rendition of Creedence Clearwater Revival's "Long As I Can See the Light."
2. Lilly Scott: A close second. Challenged herself with the Sam Cooke classic “A Change is Gonna Come” and was even better than last week. Love her confidence in just who she is.
3. Michelle Delamor: Note to Todrick Hall: this is how you re-arrange a song! Michelle comes across as a professional singer and turned a Creed rock single into a ballad.
4. Siobhan Magnus: The anti-Aretha Franklin sung Franklin's "Think" and showcased her versatility. The place went nuts when she hit her high notes.
5. Katelyn Epperly: Ellen was off base with this critique. The song was supposed to be slow, and the use of the piano proved that Katelyn has multiple sides to her.
6. Katie Stevens: She has a great voice and a great personality. The judges have to get over the fact that she's 17 and just let her sing.
7. Paige Miles: It's always daring to take a song by an American Idol winner, but Miles did Kelly Clarkson's "Walk Away" sort of proud. Definitely needed more of an edge to it.
8. Didi Benami: We felt terrible for when the tears welled up during the judges' criticism. But "Lean On Me?" Really? It's impossible to make that song your own at this point.
9. Lacey Brown: Simply not up to par, vocals-wise, with the other contestants.
10. Haeley Vaughn: We're all for being happy, but her constant smiling freaks us out. She's like a doll of some kind.mi

It's a clear choice, in our view: Lacey and Haeley should go home tonight. What do you think?

Erica Mongeon in Coma Following Car Accident

It was easy to laugh at Erica and Victoria Mongeon during their MTV reality show run. Better known as the Ikki Twins, these sisters starred as lesbians on the dating series A Double Shot at Love.

But this is no laughing matter: Erica is in a medically-induced coma after being injured in a major car accident yesterday.

The siblings were passengers in a Volkswagen Jetta that hit a tire in the road and was subsequently rear-ended by a truck when the driver attempted to pull over. The crash took place near Bakersfield, California.

"Right after the accident everybody was feeling OK, but Rikki had a bump on her head and nobody thought it was a big deal, but for just for the heck of it they went to the hospital," rep Rick Brown told E! News, explaining how things got worse from there:

"Then, the doctors did a test that said she had bleeding in her skull. She never felt bad, like you would expect, but they put her into a medically-induced coma and will keep her down until Friday. The plan is to bring her out of the coma on Friday and take it from there."

Neither Victoria nor the car's driver were seriously injured.

Brown has asked fans to pray for Erica, though she's expected to survive.

Ke$ha Calls Out Britney Spears for Lip-Synching "Bull$hit"

A couple weeks ago, we were criticized for writing that Adam Lambert blasted Susan Boyle's album and rendition of "Wild Horses." Fans of the American Idol finalist thought that was a misrepresentation of his comments.

But make no mistake now: Ke$ha has very much torn into Britney Spears.

In a new interview, the outspoken singer was asked about Britney's habit of lip-synching during concerts and replied:

“I think that’s bull$hit. I don’t think that’s fair at all for people who are going to see the show. If you are going to be a singer, you should sing. If you are going to be a dancer, you should dance."

“If you are going to do a combination of the two, you should make it very clear when you are singing and very clear when you are dancing. I would never do that to my fans... It’s treating people as if they are too stupid to realize you are not actually singing... I would rather be off and be real and genuine about it to my fans."

This isn't the first time Spears has been called out for pretending to sing live. A few months ago, fans in Australia walked out of Britney's Circus tour due to the singer's shoddy lip-synching and general performance.

Source: Grand Jury to Indict John Edwards

John Edwards is already a walking disgrace, having cheated on his cancer-stricken wife with Rielle Hunter, knocking up his weird mistress, trying to cover the scandal up, and lying about it repeatedly while running for President of the United States.

Now a Federal grand jury may decide there was criminal behavior in there, too.

The former U.S. Senator may find himself indicted shortly, according to reports, for illegally using campaign funds to hide his affair with Hunter.

One-time aide Andrew Young and none other than Edwards' own estranged wife Elizabeth could help take the fallen presidential candidate, too.

Edwards is being investigated by FBI, IRS and election officials for myriad possible campaign violations related to paying hush money to Rielle Hunter.

The grand jury has been convened since April, and an indictment is imminent.

FALL FROM GRACE: There's truly never been one like this.

"John is terrified he's going to be indicted," a friend said.

"While he believes he's done nothing illegal in trying to hide his affair with Rielle and their daughter, he thinks the Feds are going to make an example out of him."

Right. Make an example of him. Because they do that. Sorry, John, weren't you a personal injury lawyer at one point? They never make examples out of anything.

Marie Osmond Schedules Return to the Stage

Two weeks after her son committed suicide, Marie Osmond will return to the Las Vegas stage.

The singer and brother Donny will sing again for audiences on March 9. They have also added a handful of dates to their Sin City show, in order to make up for canceled performances in wake of their recent family tragedy.

The duo has tacked on five shows between April 13 and 17 at the Flamingo Hotel & Casino.

"These were previously unscheduled show dates, added to accommodate guests who had tickets to recently canceled shows due to the personal tragedy in the Osmond family," read a press release, while the show's producer added:

"I think performing will help the healing process for [Marie]."

Jermaine Jackson at Center of Stun Gun Drama

Jermaine Jackson, brother of the late Michael Jackson, has had some interesting things happen in his life. Most recently, his teenage son tried to taser Blanket.

A messy divorce between Jermaine and his ex-wife likely set events in motion that resulted in the stun gun drama that made headlines in this slow news week.

The L.A. County Department of Children and Family Services came knockin' at the Jackson family home in L.A. after reports of the kids playing with a taser.

Here's the lowdown. Jermaine filed for divorce from Alejandra Jackson in 2004. The couple fought hard over child support. Pretty standard stuff at the time.

Despite their split, Jermaine pressured Alejandra to live with their two kids - Jaafar and Jermajesty (yes, Jer-effing-majesty) in the Jackson family home.

That way, he wouldn't have to pay her support.

DON'T TASE ME BRO: Jermaine could use a good zap.

However, Alejandra complained most of the support money she received actually came from Katherine Jackson, mother of Jermaine, Michael, Janet et al.

That support was often doled out in gift cards to Ralph's ... where Jaafar bought a credit card so he could buy a stun gun online to allegedly zap Blanket.

Resourceful little devil, no?

Alejandra Jackson has indeed been living at Katherine's with Jaafar and Jermajesty, plus Genevieve and Randall, her two children with ... Randy Jackson.

Yup, she was also married to another Jackson brother at one point.

Michael Jackson's three children, Prince, Paris and Blanket, have been living with Katherine, as per Michael Jackson's will, since he passed away last June.

She's got a lot on her plate, in other words, for a 79-year-old. As a result, the occasional taser may or may not slip through the cracks. Give her a break.

Caddy Steve Williams Tees Off on Tiger Woods

A lot of people were privy to Tiger Woods' sordid double life, helping the world's top golfer arrange and conceal a string of affairs with at least a dozen mistresses.

His caddy, Steve Williams, was not one of those people.

The New Zealander, who has been on the bag for Tiger since 1999, is ticked, saying he was totally in the dark, and would have blown the whistle had he known.

"I knew nothing. That's my answer," Williams said in an interview with New Zealand's TV3. "Nothing. Don't need to clarify, extend my answer, I knew nothing."

The scandal has "been the most difficult time of my life, because every single person believed I should know, that I did know or had something to do with it."

Tiger Woods can add his caddy to those seeking an apology.

Williams said that while he doesn't feel personally slighted by the golfer's extramarital affairs, he is nevertheless "disappointed that he's let his family down."

"I mean, I'm close with [Elin Woods] and he's got two lovely children and he's let them down, I'm not mad at him towards me ... I stand by Tiger as a friend."

"I don't talk to him about what's happened. I talk to him about the future and what we are going to try and accomplish and how we're gonna get over it."

"Obviously, at some point in time, I'll have a conversation with him, but right now is not that point in time," Williams said. "I'm fully supportive of him and I'd like to see him get back on the PGA tour - so that's my role right now."

Tiger is still trying to get Elin to move back home with him.

On The Bachelor producers' planning: "I had 100 percent control over every detail that had to do with the wedding," Molly says. "Jason and I collaborated, obviously. [laughs] We had the power to make it any sort of wedding we wanted."

On staying strong after The Bachelor: "We stayed away from Hollywood and went back to our lives," Molly says. "We just focused on being a normal couple."

"[Jake Pavelka] is doing Dancing with the Stars," Jason said of his successor, "More power to him if he wants to, but being in Seattle with Ty is all we wanted."

On performer Jason Castro: "Jason and I both love the version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' he sang on American Idol. He was phenomenal," Molly said.

Molly on married life so far: "I'm the happiest I've ever been. I look at Jason differently. Married life is the best feeling in the world and I wish it for everyone."

Jason on that last comment: "Awww, that's sweet, babe."

Goin' Rogue Again: Sarah Palin to Pen Second Book

Sarah Palin’s memoir, Going Rogue, hit bookshelves and best-seller lists last fall. Then again, Lauren Conrad topped the N.Y. Times best-seller list too. Just sayin'.

In any event, you betcha, the former Alaska governor will be runnin' it back after HarperCollins announced today that it will publish a second book from Palin.

If nothing else, the new book will help solidify Palin as the most high-profile failed V.P. candidate and not-even-one-term governor in modern American history.

The currently untitled book is not a sequel to Going Rogue, per se, but in keeping with her memoir, it will be a “celebration of American virtues and strengths.”

It will include excerpts chosen from and about people who have inspired her. Levi Johnston, Seth MacFarlane and David Letterman will team up on the prologue.

Whether it's berating Family Guy, producing random documentaries, appearing on The Tonight Show, punditing away on Fox News or hypocritically trying to milk Bristol Palin and her teen mom status, Palin has become a media constant.

Her latest book should keep fueling that trend, regardless of whether it serves as a prelude to a presidential run in 2012 (publicly, she's still hedging on that topic).

Chris Weitz Teases Eclipse as "Very Steamy"

Take this from someone in the know: Eclipse is gonna be hot!

Chris Weitz, who directed New Moon, tells People magazine he's read the script for the Twilight Saga's third installment and fans will NOT be disappointed. Especially in one specific scene.

"I'm looking forward to the sleeping bag scene, I gotta say," Weitz said. "That's going to be very steamy."

As readers of the book franchise know, Weitz is referring to the moment where a freezing Bella (on the run from Victoria) gets warmed up from Jacob... while Edward angrily, awkwardly, angrily looks on.

The director also says he's excited to see Elizabeth Reaser and Peter Facinelli get into the intense action of Eclipse.

"I have a special interest in seeing Peter and Elizabeth tear people's heads off," Weitz said. "Knowing them, and how kind of kooky and delightful they are, I'm going to find seeing them being ultra-violent very interesting indeed."

Yeah. That's fine and all. We just wanna see Taylor Lautner shirtless.

Charles Pearson Busted For Stalking Dr. Drew Pinsky

Apparent nut job Charles Pearson has been apprehended for allegedly stalking quasi-celebrity Dr. Drew Pinsky. We know, Dr. Drew Pinsky has a stalker?

Most stalking articles involve hot girls getting stalked (Audrina Patridge), pretending to be stalked (Tila Tequila) or doing the stalking (Vienna Girardi).

This one? Just plain weird.

Pearson was booked for felony stalking after he was arrested at Pierce College in Woodland Hills. Dr. Drew's security team pinpointed his location there.

The reason? He posted said location on his own site. Take note, young readers. Don't post incriminating info online, especially if you're stalking Dr. Drew.

Pearson's bail has been set at $150,000. Here's his mug shot ...

Dr. Drew is no longer at risk from this stable individual.

Dr. Drew's team of cyber-security experts monitored and ultimately nabbed the alleged stalker yesterday after he made his location at the college available.

Pinsky's peeps spotted the post and immediately contacted cops at the Pasadena Police Department ... who then alerted sheriff's deputies at the college.

Sources say a number of police officers and school security showed up to the library shortly after, cleared out a bunch of people and moved on Pearson.

He was supposedly very cooperative, at least.

Guy sounds like a troubled fella in need of help. His ex, Sandra Obagi, obtained a restraining order in 2007, claiming he threatened her life, allegedly saying:

"I have guns and I'm not afraid to use them."

Always words you long to hear from a guy.

Confirmed: Elin Woods Moves Back in with Tiger; Couple Working on "Rebuilding His Image"

We reported this earlier today but could not confirm it until now. Elin Nordegren Woods has agreed to return with Tiger Woods to their Isleworth home in Florida.

"I call them the divorced married couple," says a People source who reported the news. "Elin knows Tiger has issues and is afraid to go near him romantically."

"Because of the children and his need to return to golf, she'll try to live in the house with a wall between them," adds the source, also confirmed by other sites.

Of course, her motivation for moving back in is debatable.

"The marriage is smoke and mirrors, but Elin Woods will help Tiger rebuild his image and gain new sponsorships because this is what his life is about," the source states. "She is doing this more for the kids and holding the family together."

STANDING BY HER MAN: But for the right reasons?

Insiders also say Woods will not return to golf until he is once again at the top of his game, which he isn't, having been away from his daily routine for so long.

As for Elin, sources say if nothing else, she's a key asset in the image damage control project after the Tiger Woods scandal and rebuilding his confidence.

"Elin will put a new face on platonic relationships," a source speculates.

Agrees another: "What is really between them is of no interest to golf sponsors. The world's perception of them as the perfect family is what they like to see."

Looks like her painful choice wasn't really that painful. Just corporate.

Tanya Douglas: Jake Pavelka is a Cheating Liar!

The Bachelor star Jake Pavelka has been engaged to Vienna Girardi for about 20 minutes and he's already catching heat for it - from ex Tanya Douglas.

Jake's previous girlfriend claims he was in contact with her after he finished taping the reality show, and claims Jake said he was coming back to her.

Pavelka has denied any overlap between his past relationships and his Bachelor stint, during which he met and ultimately proposed to Vienna Girardi.

Not so, says Tanya, who lobbed vague accusations of cheating at Jake in an interview earlier this week, although she was not identified by name then.

She also claims they discussed marriage and that he said the women on the show, Vienna included, mean absolutely nothing to him. Anyone buying it?

Tanya Douglas looks a little Vienna-like, no?

The identity of Jake's ex was revealed this afternoon, for whatever it's worth. For his part, Jake denied Tanya's claims to Entertainment Tonight this evening.

"The relationship with [Douglas] was prior to The Bachelor, it simply did not work out," he said. "There was no overlap with that or any other relationship."

"It is unfortunate that people are trying to financially capitalize on or disparage my incredible relationship with Vienna," the hunky pilot continued.

"I only wish everyone could be as happy for us as we are together.”
