The City Season Finale: Whitney Sells Out Kelly

The second season of The City came to an end last night. Is Whitney Port's relationship with Kelly Cutrone also over after the events we just saw play out?

When Whitney is approached by a PR woman, she quickly gets in over her head and finds herself torn between a new opportunity and her loyal supporter.

What will she decide? Here's THG's +/- recap ...

Kelly thinks it might be too early to be doing press because Whitney Port could actually end up with more orders than she can handle. Sage words. Plus 4.

Joe has Louise interview Karolina Kurkova. Keith thinks Louise has more of a TV style and Olivia's subdued approach is better for Elle.com. Really? Minus 1.

The OP

GOLDEN GIRL: Somehow, Olivia Palermo is in Elle's good books.

In Tokyo, the editor-in-chief suggests Olivia should appear on stage with the designers at a party that night so Akiko can ask her about her style. No way that would happen if she weren't on an MTV reality show, but neat! Plus 6.

Roxy Olin tells Zach she is angry about Whitney. Girl, get over it. Minus 2.

Whitney meets Alison Brod, owner of Alison Brod PR, who says they will do everything they can for Whitney Eve line if she hires them. Thin ice, Whit ... Minus 3.

Erin asks Joe who will be the new face of Elle's website. He says he hasn't decided yet, but he's hearing some great things about what Olivia is doing in Japan. Erin blatantly lobbies for Louise by mentioning her other job offer. Plus 4.

Kelly calls Whitney into her office. Dun-dun-dunnnnn!! Plus 5.

A Whit Port Pic

PORT OF CALL: Will Whitney jump ship from Kelly Cutrone's tutelage?

Alison has been telling people that Whitney fired Kelly and hired her. Whitney quickly apologizes and Kelly says that Alison's claims are making her look like an ambitious idiot, but Kelly's right, she got herself into this mess. Minus 4.

At a boardroom meeting, Joe announces that Olivia Palermo will be the new face of the Elle website and says he is sorry for Louise to be leaving. Erin Kaplan is not happy. "Are you OK with that?" asks Olivia with a smile. Plus 8, b!tch.

Roxy later tells Whitney that her loyalty is to Kelly. "If you sign with Alison things will change with you and Kelly," warns young Ms. Olin. Such integrity! Plus 3.

Seemingly unclear of what to do, Whitney appears deep in thought as Roxy walks away ... think this was dramatized at all? Minus 5, because we assume so.

FINALE TOTAL: +9. SEASON TOTAL: +5.

Selena Gomez: Leaving Wizards of Waverly Place

Selena Gomez is making like Miley Cyrus.

No, the teenager isn't ditching pants or putting out a failed album.

But Selena is leaving the TV show that made her famous, announcing this week her plans to exit Wizards of Waverly Place when its fourth season concludes.

“Unfortunately, I’m doing my last season of my show, which I’m really heartbroken about. That’s gonna be a terrible time for me,” the 17-year old told MTV.

Gomez has played Alex Russo on the Disney Channel series since its pilot episode.

However, just because Gomez is walking away from the small screen doesn't mean she's leaving the role of Alex forever.

“I’m gonna do a movie for my show, which I’ll be excited to end it with, and then a tour,” she said.

Selena has made news recently for her life away from the set. She briefly dated Nick Jonas, only to break up with him in April. That's right, teenage male readers: this pretty star is available!

The Hills Finale Recap: The End of an Error

After six seasons of drama, The Hills ended its run on MTV in appropriate fashion, with cameras panning back to expose just how manufactured that drama is.

More on that in a little bit.

Supposedly, Kristin Cavallari is moving to Europe, because she "needs a change." Note: she never went to Europe, and she never pined for Brody Jenner. At all.

Elsewhere, Lo and Scott move in together, Audrina decided to get a new house by the beach, and Stephanie is kinda dating that guy Josh now, if anyone cares.

Nowhere to be found, except dressed like an old man outside the finale party? Spencer Pratt. Here's THG's recap of Tuesday's series finale of The Hills ...

The Last Four

FINAL FOUR: The female stars of The Hills at the series finale party.

Stephanie Pratt tells the girls she is happy with her life, while Audrina Patridge says she's still trying to figure hers out. When is she NOT trying to do that? Minus 4.

Brody plays golf with the guys and says he didn't realize things with Kristin would take the turn they did. Yeah, the scripts are sometimes pretty surprising. Plus 5.

Kristin tells Stacie about Brody's girlfriend and admits she's "bummed." We are too. They won't even mention Avril Lavigne by name, and he can do better. Minus 3.

Lo and Scott move in together. Cute. Plus 6, despite the obvious fact they're just looking to kill time with Stephanie and Lo, bit players for much of the series.

"Bored" Kristin tells Brody she's moving to Europe (LOL) for the summer or maybe longer (ROTFL). Naturally, she's having a big goodbye bash with cameras! Plus 8.

Not even an acknowledgment of Spencer Pratt and/or Heidi Montag, Hills? Where did they even go? Did Adam DiVello have Heidi bumped off? We worry. Minus 20.

Missing PersonFake, Fake, Fake Everything

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS PERSON? If so, contact local authorities.

Brody finally arrives and says he didn't understand her feelings. Kristin is tearful as Brody says he'll miss her. "Don't leave," he pleads. She wipes a tear away from his supposedly sad face and hugs him. Kristin even says this is a crock. Minus 34.

Audrina isn't going to Kristin's because she wants to move away from the "scene" and avoid bumping into Justin-Bobby. We'd steer clear of the stench too. Plus 7.

Scott to Lo, who he says he would marry right now: "It takes a while to find the right person and you are perfect." Minus 11. Just propose if you're serious, dude.

As Kristin speeds off, cameras focus on Brody with the Hollywood sign behind him ... but it was only a painting, later revealed to show the camera crew and staff. Then the cameras stop rolling, Kristin gets out of the limo and hugs Brody, despite the bull$h!t regarding her leaving. What a giant Eff You to fans. Plus 100.

FINALE TOTAL: +54. SEASON TOTAL: +13.

Bristol Palin: Engaged to Levi Johnston!

Having recently rekindled their romance, Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston are now engaged - and not just to bolster her mom's poll numbers this time!

"We got engaged two weeks ago," the daughter of Sarah Palin tells Us Weekly. "It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents."

Bristol Palin is 19 and Levi Johnston is 20. They famously called off their previous engagement weeks after welcoming son Tripp in December 2008.

After an icy period of estrangement, nasty accusations and PR wars, they reconnected a few months ago while working out custody plans for their son.

"I really thought we were over," Levi said. "So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking, and then we took Tripp for a walk."

Bristol and Levi now and during their previous fake engagement.

She says when Levi Johnston left that night, "we didn’t hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: 'I miss you. I love you.'"

"'I want to be with you again' ... I was in shock."

The two got back together in June, officially.

But perhaps the most amazing part, if you don't believe this is being embellished to sell magazines of course, is that the former Republican Vice Presidential nominee has been kept in the dark about the youngsters' plans ... until now!

Says Bristol: "It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be. Hopefully she will jump on board." But will she?

Sarah and Todd Palin said in a statement: "Bristol at 19 is now a young adult. We obviously want what's best for our children. Bristol believes in redemption and forgiveness to a degree most of us struggle to put in practice in our lives."

Sounds like a thumbs-up to us ... or not? Either way, congratulations to the young couple. We're happy for them ... but still, we gotta ask ...

Bret Michaels: Family Man

It wasn't that long ago that Bret Michaels was banging everything with two lips.

The singer was taking full advantage of his rock star status, anchoring VH1 reality shows that made The Bachelor look like an actual search for love. It was all about groupie sex and bandanas for Bret.

But then he suffered a brain hemorrhage and Bret's life instantly became about more than STDs tests and tour bus liaisons. The guy knows he's lucky to be alive.

A reinvented family man, Michaels posed with his daughters and girlfriend Kristi Gibson outside The Late Show with David Letterman studio yesterday. He's on the mend physically and spiritually and we couldn't be happier for this rocker...

Lindsay Lohan Needs a Lawyer ASAP!

Lindsay Lohan has legal problems galore, yet can't seem to find a lawyer to rep her in the probation violation case that recently earned her a jail sentence.

Sources report that Lindsay and mom Dina have been interviewing potential lawyers like crazy but "They are suspicious of their (the lawyers') motives."

Those motives being that no attorney wants anything to do with the epic mess that is Lindsay Lohan - one lawyer even said as much earlier this week.

Interestingly, Lohan is now talking to former O.J. Simpson lawyer Robert Shapiro, but she has not retained him yet. That could be a good fit, however.

Guy helped a murderer go free - what's a measly probation violation?

Reeling

LINDSAY LOHAN: In need of help ... legal and other forms.

She's working on a tight schedule in any case. The train wreck is due to surrender in Judge Marsha Revel's court on July 20 to begin a 90-day jail sentence.

Shawn Chapman Holley, her previous legal eagle, quit the case but has not yet been excused by Judge Revel, because there's no lawyer to take her place.

Maybe BFF-come-lately Kim Kardashian is free? Her dad defended O.J. too ...

Holley, a seasoned attorney but not a magician, could not get Lindsay off the hook for her recent antics, or get the judge to excuse her before the 20th.

One way or the other, unless the actress wins a delay, she had better show up on the 20th for sentencing or Judge Revel will issue a bench warrant.

Par for the course for Lindsay.
