Paula Abdul Endorses Bret Michaels as American Idol Judge

Bret Michaels has laid out the reasons why he should be the next judge on American Idol.

But there's one person he doesn't need to convince, and she's someone who knows a lot about the gig: Paula Abdul.

"If he were to take that position I think he would be awesome at it because you've got to have a passion and love for music," Abdul told Us Weekly. "It takes somebody who really, really understands young people to try to make the magic happen in those 30 seconds. [Bret] would fit the mold perfectly."

That said, Paula says no one will ever be able to truly replace Simon Cowell.

"Honestly, the word replacement to me does not apply because, as we all know, they broke the mold after Simon. I don't think he could ever be replaced," she said. "There should be no comparison."

Michaele Salahi Confirmed as a Real Housewife of D.C.

Bravo has confirmed the latest Sign of the Apocalypse:

Michaele Salahi, who made headlines with husband Tareq in November 2009 by actually crashing a White House party, has officially been cast on The Real Housewives of D.C.

The network refers to the five chosen women as “connected D.C. power players,” who “have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings, and fundraisers in Washington society.”

Then again, four of the cast members in this diverse city are white; and their occupations include a modeling agency owner, a real estate agent and, well, Michaele Salahi. If these are connected players in our nation's capital... the nation is in serious trouble!

Joining Salahi (pictured) on the series, which premieres August 5, are:

Catherine Ashley Ommanney: New to the country, this British interior designer moved to America in the summer of 2008 when she married Charles Ommanney, a prizewinning photojournalist with Newsweek. The couple has two kids, Jade and Ruby.

Mary Schmidt Amons: A mother of five, who is described by Bravo as “the true Washingtonian and granddaughter of radio and TV personality Arthur Godfrey."

Stacie Scott Turner: A graduate of Howard University and owner of a Harvard MBA. She worked in marketing at BET before becoming a real estate agent. Involved in many political fundraisers.

Lynda Erkiletian: The 52-year old is a divorced mother of four. Owns T.H.E. Artist Agency, a Georgetown modeling firm that represents hundreds of models and stylists. Bravo says she likes astrology, "shooting clay pigeons, riding ATVs and cooking a mean fried chicken." Well, okay then.

The City Recap: Whitney Port Gets a Curtain Call, Olivia Palermo Gets to Keep a Job Somehow

Last week was a rough one career-wise as Olivia Palermo was put on the chopping block and Whitney Port was basically told she's not a real designer on The City.

This week marked a renaissance of sorts for both. Olivia rose to the occasion somehow and avoided being fired, while Whit's fashion show in Miami was a big hit.

Here's THG's plus-minus recap of last night's The City ...

Whitney Port travels to Miami with Roxy Olin (for some reason) and feels the pressure of competition and putting on a show without Kelly. Real world, girl. Plus 5.

Olivia vows her "personal relationship" with Zac Posen will score an interview. We've heard that before. Minus 4. But Joe Zee says get it or you're fired! Plus 4.

Miraculously, Olivia was able to stomach doing some actual work.

When model Erica is seen with another designer, she suggests "sharing" but Whitney basically calls dibs. Models. Just like pieces of meat, we tell you. Plus 7.

At the launch party, Olivia poses on the red carpet (obviously, because she's a star) before Joe sends her to get Zac ... then decides to tail her a$$. Plus 8.

Impressed, Joe says this is "the reason he hired" Olivia. Minus 19, because dude, she got lucky like once, and should have been fired months ago. Get real.

Seriously, how is getting an interview with someone she already knew in any way impressive? Unless Joe just means he hired her for publicity ... okay, Wash.

At a Miami boutique, Whitney and Roxy Olin decide her designs would fit in well. Roxy is actually useful and meets the buyer, who agrees to peep it. Plus 5.

Editor-in-chief Robbie and editorial director Keith watch Olivia. Erin says they should compare it to Louise Roe's recent interview. Dun-dun-dunnn! Plus 6.

Whitney Eve is a hit - and not just with THG!

Amazingly, they determine that "everyone has their strengths" and "Olivia is good at what she does." No idea what that would be, but sure thing! Minus 11.

Louise and Olivia meet and hit it off. Plus 4, since Olivia is either clueless about Louise angling to take her job, or just doesn't care, since MTV won't let her.

Roxy appears to be quite frustrated about the apparent disorganization at the show. Roxy? Complaining about a lack of focus? Who'd have guessed. Minus 5.

Despite setbacks, the show is a success, and Whitney Port takes a well-deserved curtain call - and Shari and Pamela decide to carry Whitney Eve! Plus 10.

No matter how many doors are open for Whitney because of her fame, you have to at least respect how seriously she takes her line, and hope it succeeds.

THIS is the host of American Idol macking on the former Dancing With the Stars pro turned country singer and one of the planet's most beautiful women!

Amid rumors that there's a new lady in his life, Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough were spotted strolling down the beach Sunday afternoon (see photos).

He looks to be more than friends with Julianne, who just wrapped production on Burlesque with Christina Aguilera, Cher, Kristen Bell and Cam Gigandet.

The relationship was previously hinted at by American Idol judge Simon Cowell during an interview with Extra. In his sit-down with the program, Cowell revealed Seacrest's romantic interest and then coyly turned to the camera with a "whoops."

On the plus side, perhaps Cowell's outing of Seacrest gave him the green light to walk the Malibu beaches with Julianne Hough. Both are incredibly busy these days (there's nobody busier than Ryan), so it's nice to see them making time for romance.

The Hills Recap: Poor Ryan Cabrera!

Another week, another episode of The Hills that could have used a dose of Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt, who have just vanished from it with no explanation.

Amusingly, Speidi's real life drama is chronicled on the MTV show's official blog, despite no sign of them on the show in weeks, or acknowledgment of this fact.

In any case, the show was more of the same that we've seen in recent weeks - Allie Lutz continues to vie for McKaela Line and battles it out with Team Kristin.

Seriously, this is what The Hills has become, and alas, what it will continue to be in all likelihood. Lauren Conrad and Speidi are not walking through that door!

Once again torn between Justin-Bobby and a superior guy, Audrina Patridge talks with Lo, who asks if she'd take J-B back if he changed. No answer. Minus 14.

Justin-Bobby gets thugged out at the club - and deep, man.

Kristin Cavallari tells Brody Jenner that she warned McKaela about Allie and alleged break-in we're supposed to care about. She's so catty, it's great. Plus 7.

Allie insists to McKaela that Kristin's stories about her are, like, so totally not true and drops the classic drunk girl line: "They don't even KNOW me!" Plus 5.

Everybody heads to Les Deux later - including Justin-Bobby and Ryan Cabrera, who have the most awkward introduction ever. Plus 9, because that was real!

Justin-Bobby tells Brody that Audrina "deserves the world" and doesn't need grief. Minus 12, because there's no way he didn't read that off MTV's cue cards.

Stephanie and Max are having a nice dinner when talk turns to her estranged relationship with Spencer Pratt and her DUI arrest. Double buzzkill! Minus 9.

When Audrina suggests that the "honeymoon" is over, Ryan says "If we caught each other at the wrong time, we need to figure it out. It's your life." Plus 5.

The cheese factor is amped up to 11 when, live in concert, he says he wants to sing a love song, which prompts Audrina to start crying. Words fail us. Wash.

Side note: You gotta love how Ryan, unlike the others who receive just a single name (e.g. Audrina, McKaela, Kristin), is always billed as Ryan Cabrera. Plus 3.

At the Young Hollywood Party, Audrina Patridge hints at a breakup with Ryan. Too bad, because he actually seems like a good dude, despite the hair. Minus 7.

In vintage Hills fashion, an argument soon erupts between Kristin and Allie before Brody breaks it up. Poor McKaela just looks lost, unsure what to do. Plus 8.

Kristin thanks Brody for having her back, which he says he always will ... unless he wants to nail some new girl. They walk off arm-in-arm, as usual. Minus 3.

Side note: We swore Kristin Cavallari was Heidi Montag for a sec with the makeup and teased hair - but a lack of HUGE fake breasts dashed our hopes. Plus 2.

Cover Clash: Robert Pattinson Dumps Kristen Stewart! Also Wants to Marry Her!

Breaking news out of the tabloid world today, Twilight Saga fans:

Robert Pattinson has been dumped! Also, Kristen Stewart will soon dump Robert Pattinson!

First, a source tells Life & Style that the differences between the co-stars have become too much. The latter is simply too depressed too often, as "Rob says she complains about everything and is such a downer," according to the insider who added:

"When Rob was back in the U.K., he was totally fed up with Kristen and over it. He told her, 'We're done.'"

But don't fret, Robsten lovers!

While one tabloid reports "Rob feels he hasn't found his soulmate and is keeping his options open," Us Weekly says the exact opposite: Kristen is Rob's soulmate!

Hooray? Not quite. Apparently, Stewart is about to break Pattinson's heart, as their "tortured romance" is affected by her hesitation to get married. That's a shame.

So, what are Twilight fans to do about such conflicting cover stories? Send a message to these desperate publications and DO NOT BUY THEM. That's the only way they'll ever stop publishing such nonsense.

Kate Gosselin: The Next Bachelorette?

Because two reality shows are never enough for a mother of eight, Kate Gosselin is reportedly pitching another in which she focuses on nabbing a new husband.

“Kate’s working on a deal to do a new reality dating series on ABC,” a Gosselin insider reveals to Life & Style. “Kate would love to have someone new in her life."

After divorcing Jon Gosselin last year following a public implosion, Kate "really misses the companionship. She wishes she had a man around to help her out.”

In the proposed show, the reloaded Kate Plus 8 star will be matched up with single dads - or, in another scenario, could wind up as the star of The Bachelorette!

The magazine's anonymous claim that this is being discussed is clearly baseless, but at the same time, she was ratings gold for ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

FORESHADOWING? Kate Gosselin and The Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky in a joint interview with Jimmy Kimmel earlier this spring. Might Kate follow in Ali's footsteps?

Would it be a stretch to have her star on another highly-rated reality franchise on the same network? Oh yes, but crazier things have happened. We're just sayin'.

If we were the betting type, and we've been known to lose money on asinine bets before, we'd wager that there's now way in hell Kate stars on The Bachelorette.

Still, we can absolutely see another dating show tailored to fit the mother of eight. What we aren't sure is why any guy would appear on it. Maybe that's unfair.

Megan Fox Reportedly Engaged... Again!

In January, sources stated that Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green might be engaged again.

Now, a new report suggests this couple might be engaged again... again.

According to Us Weekly, the actor proposed to the sexiest woman on the planet on June 1. He allegedly presented Fox with a two-carat ring while on vacation in Hawaii. There's just one hiccup: it's been lost.

"I saw her jumping up and down," a witness said of the proposal at the Four Seasons Hualalai hotel. "Later, I saw a half dozen staff sifting through the sand."

Another source added that "security and maintenance staff spent a couple of hours looking for it. No one found it."

Laurie David Denies Al Gore Affair

Rumors of an Al Gore-Laurie David affair surfaced yesterday, casting news light on the global warming advocate's separation from wife Tipper after 40 years.

But there is no truth to the report of the former Vice President's marriage ending thanks to a two-year affair with the ex-wife of Larry David, her agent says.

"This report is completely, patently false," says Dorian Karchmar, angrily rejecting Star magazine's shocking account of an Al Gore-Laurie David affair.

The agent added regarding the scandalous story that "I have no idea where it started from or why, but it is absolutely, positively and patently untrue."

We have some idea. Laurie David, herself a prominent environmentalist, served as a producer of Al Gore's 2006 Oscar-winning An Inconvenient Truth.

Al announced his separation from Tipper Gore June 1, with the couple saying it was "a mutual and mutually supportive decision that we have made together."

Friends of the former couple, who said they were shocked, said at the time that the breakup was "not one of those [cheating] situations in any remote way."

David, who ended her marriage with Larry in 2007 amid allegations of infidelity, also told the Huffington Post personally that the story is a "total fabrication."

"I adore both Al and Tipper Gore. I look at them both as family," Laurie says.

Moreover, "I have happily been in a serious relationship since my divorce."

A rep for Al Gore declined to comment.

Devon James Says Tiger Woods is Her Baby Daddy, Produces Photo of Alleged Love Child

As Tiger Woods preps for the prestigious U.S. Open this week, it's apparently open season for mistresses claiming he fathered their kids years ago.

Yesterday, we reported on a UK documentary airing this week which will allege that the golfer has a kid with Theresa Rogers, his "cougar mistress."

Now another mistress, porn star Devon James (no relation to Woods mistress Joslyn James), claims Tiger is the father of her son, Austin T. James.

Austin's middle initial is a secret tribute to the golfer she loved, claims Devon James, who leaked a picture of the supposed Tiger Woods love child.

The child was born in 2001, before Tiger was married to Elin Nordegren. The Theresa Rogers spawn was born in '03, also before he was married.

Devon James claims Tiger Woods knocked her up back in the day.

"She was 19 at the time, and attending a Christian school program" a source close to Devon James recalls. "They immediately started a relationship."

"She became pregnant, but decided not to tell Tiger," who she knows is the dad as he's "the only African-American man she dated at the time."

Devon James was one of the bevy of busty babes who came forward with Tiger tales after his mystifying November car wreck and fall from grace.

James first dished on Woods in March, claiming James was asked to join a threesome with a girlfriend a mystery man who turned out to be Woods.

"Hi, I'm Tiger. Nice to meet you," James quoted him as saying before they quickly got down to business - him paying $2,000 each for "dirty" sex.

Is Austin T. James Tiger Woods' love child?

Devon says the first time she bedded Tiger was back in 2000, though, when she was just a teenager, and the threesome simply reconnected them.

"She showed him pictures of Austin, and told him he was his son," a source said. "He didn't want to meet the boy, but did send gifts for the child."

In unrelated and hilarious news, Devon was accused of robbing Joslyn on a porn set yesterday. That's not the only attack on her character, either.

James' mother, Sandra Brinling, said yesterday that her daughter is a "pathological liar" and that she knows exactly who "Austin T.'s real dad" is.

Time will tell if one or both of these allegations are substantiated by DNA evidence, or if more alleged Tiger Woods baby mamas come forward.

THG Speaks to Playboy Cover Girl Natasha Alam!

On the season premiere of True Blood, female viewers may have been focused on Alexander Skarsgard's bare backside, as his character exhibited the kind of long-lasting sexual prowess human beings merely dream about.

But men may have rewinded that scene in the basement of Fangtasia to focus on the naked woman Eric Northman was giving it to. Her name is Natasha Alam, she'll appear in at least four more True Blood episode as Yvetta - and she's featured in the latest issue of Playboy.

THG was fortunate to speak to the actress this week and our Q&A with her is posted below...

How did the opportunity to pose for Playboy come about?
I never imagined that I’d one day be a Playboy cover girl. The magazine is so legendary, so when my publicist approached me about the opportunity I said, "HELL YES!!!"

Did you always have an interest in the magazine? Any memorable past spreads inspire you?
Before my acting career started to bloom, I modeled in my friend Matthew Settle’s editorial story for Playboy, which was dedicated to Howard Hughes. I had so much fun shooting for that story that I was inspired to be in Playboy.

Were you nervous to pose nude?
When I found out who the photographer was (Steven Baillie), and who the stylist and hair/make up team were, all of my worries disappeared. I had a fantastic team and knew I’d be in good hands with them!

How did the role on True Blood come about?
I'd been auditioning for True Blood since the pilot aired, but never landed any roles. I almost gave up on getting on this show. However, my audition for Yvetta was excellent and I felt really confident about the way I portrayed the character, but I still didn't think that I would actually book it, so when I finally got the news I was ecstatic.

On the season three premiere, Eric had sex with your character for six hours? What's the longest you've ever gone with a man?
Oh boy! I've never really counted it. When you are at it, time just stops, and when you’re done... oops, the whole night has passed!

Are you on Team Eric or Team Bill?
That's a tough choice, but I'm kind of leaning towards Team Bill a little more.

Were you a fan of True Blood before landing this role?
I loved the show right from the pilot, but, unfortunately, I couldn't watch it all the time because I became a mom in 2009, so I don't have as much time now!

Any other gigs or roles coming up?
I'm in negotiations for a couple of action films since I've been studying with Whu Shu for a while. One is a thriller and the other is a dark comedy.

Chris Klein Plastered During DUI Arrest; May Do Time

There's no excuse for driving drunk. If you're gonna be imbibing, just call for a cab or crash with a friend. It's not worth the risk to yourself or the public.

That said, some DUIs definitely worse than others.

There are the Stephanie Pratt-style arrests, in which the person registers a BAC of exactly .08, and legitimately felt they were in good condition to drive.

Then you have Chris Klein early this morning, bombed out of his mind at 2.5 TIMES THE LEGAL LIMIT and cruisin' down the 101 Freeway in Los Angeles.

He blew a .20. The limit is .08. Amazing. The American Pie star's bail for the DUI arrest, his second in the last six months, has been set at $25,000.

We purposely found the worst Chris Klein photo ever taken.

Chris could be headed to jail in the wake of this incident due to his history of driving drunk, too. The guy was also arrested and convicted of DUI in 2004.

California law requires that he serve jail time if convicted again. Also, a new law requires an "ignition interlock system" installed if he wishes to drive.

Lindsay Lohan should really have one of those.

The system is essentially a breathalyzer test that's synced up to the car. If he's not sober, it won't turn on. This is only if he's convicted again, of course.

With a .20 BAC, one wonders how he won't be.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Aims to Inspire, Fails

In December 2007, Jennifer Love Hewitt lashed out at critics that mocked her bathing suit-clad body. She admirably said at the time:

"To set the record straight, I'm not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their body image. A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be. And being a size 0 doesn't make you beautiful."

True, inspirational words.

Now, in the latest issue of People, the actress says she wants to urge young women to not focus on their weight, saying:

"When I meet young girls, I'm always like, 'Just do me one favor.' Love what you look like right now – and remember I said it 10 years from now because it's the greatest gift I can give."

That sounds nice and all, but Hewitt then refers to her own figure as "a work in progress" and adds: "In another eight months, it's going to be so much better than it is today...

"I'd want to have Gisele Bundchen's body. Even though she's tall and skinny, she does have curves... and I think that's hot. Halle Berry also is kind of amazing."

Isn't JLH sending a mixed message here? Should girls be happy with their bodies, or should they aspire to be like Gisele and Berry, easily two of the best looking women in the world?

Randy Jackson Hospitalized After Heart Attack

Randy Jackson - Michael's younger brother, not the ring leader of the American Idol dawg pound - was hospitalized in Pasadena yesterday with chest pains.

Later, E! confirmed that the 48-year-old had a mild heart attack.

"Randy was admitted to the hospital yesterday," the ailing Jackson's assistant said. "He will be staying overnight. He suffered from a mild heart attack."

"Thank you for your concern. He is doing as well as expected."

As if this month wasn't difficult enough for the family, with the anniversary of Michael's death next week and Conrad Murray's court proceedings underway.

The singer checked into Huntington Memorial Hospital around noon yesterday and remains there Wednesday, where he is awaiting additional test results.

The media wasted no time in swarming the hospital Tuesday night, and hospital spokeswoman Andrea Stalding released only the bare minimum statement:

"By law, I can only confirm patients that are in our hospital database," she said, refusing to confirm whether or not Randy was being treated at the time.

The incident came one day after he appeared with siblings La Toya and Jermaine to watch a judge allow Dr. Conrad Murray to keep his medical license.

Also on hand for that court date? Parents Joe and Katherine Jackson - just days after Joe blamed Michael's death on Katherine. It's been a rough week.

Earlier this month, Randy tweeted his frustrations with the ongoing battle to protect his brother's legacy and his own difficulty dealing with Michael's death.

"How do I cope?" he wrote. "I have a strong Christian faith & find power in prayer ... although this month is hard." It only gets harder too, sometimes.

Anne Hathaway Will Star In New Cinderella Story

According to sources and information given to us we have found that Anne Hathaway is going to be the next Cinderella story. She is also the star of Ella Enchanted and the Princess Diaries so why not have this working class woman’s romance be included in the list.

The movie will begin shooting some time this summer. And it will be directed by Lone Scherfig. The announcement for the project that includes Anne Hathaway came on Tuesday by Focus features. There is a lot of work to be done before this movie actually hits the big screen however Anne is more than ready. She believes she will do well as Cinderella and she can’t wait to get started.

She is going to be simply beautiful in this movie and it will be fun to see how the characters play out such as the mice and the fairy god mother, they all have to be in there somewhere.

She has been in other mystical and magical movies and feels as though this is another movie that will be perfect for her too. Glass slippers and a beautiful gown what more could a woman ask for? Although we don’t have a lot of information about this movie and Anne Hathaway as of yet, when the time gets closer and the movie goes into the development stages they will start casting and giving release dates and ratings.

This is a movie that does not have a release date yet, it is still in the development stages. The Margin Call movie rating isn’t released out yet either. It is starring Kevin Spacey and other awesome cast members. It is a drama and a movie you will want to see.

This is an Indie drama that attacks the financial crisis. The project revolves around employees of an investment bank during a tremendous 24 hour period during the 2008 financial collapse and down fall. Although there isn’t a lot of information about this movie there is enough to know that you can be watching for the release date and any other information such as the movie trailer to assist your decision to go see this drama.

Bake will be a ruthless yet one of the high powered security broker. He oversees the one who watches over and drives his colleagues to win by any means he can. However, there is a tier trader unabashedly unafraid of who he is even as the crisis gets worse. No matter what is done a broker’s job is to do better than anyone else. The financial crisis as stated above put the country and those on wall street in a frantic situation struggling to make all their efforts make sense.

However his courage was never rewarded the way it should have been. John Rabe could’ve gotten into a lot of trouble had he got caught however he made sure there was a way out.
