Best Dresses At 2010 Oscars

So the following Best and Worst Dress List from the 2010 Oscars is just my self-indulgent attempt to make sense of why some people get it right every time and some people look like someone just straight up lied to them about how they looked in that dress.

So in my humble opinion..here are the celebs that shut it down with a badass gown.

By far my favorite gown was Diane Kruger ga-ga-gorgous Chanel gown. Swoon.

In a close second place was the always youthful Demi Moore in a delicate, flesh colored Versace dress.

Mariska Hargitay in Vera Wang makes the list mostly because her hair is flawless. Anna Kendrick is really pretty in Elie Saab, Kate Winslet was simple and elegant, Cameron Diaz finally got it right in Oscar de la Renta. Meryl Streep makes the list because she is always just ..perfect.

Kathy Ireland’s dress is not all that great but she looked so young and fresh on the red carpet interviewing the celebs I had to mention her. Vera Farmiga took a risk and it worked. And Maggie Gyllenhaal makes the list for making a print work on the red carpet with this Dries Van Noten gown.

Details about the upcoming animated Smurf movie are trickling in slowly. We learned Friday that Neil Patrick Harris will play the only live action character in the movie and today we have three new names attached to the film.

Singer Katy Perry and the future Mrs. Russell Brand will provide the voice of Smurfette.

Alan Cumming will voice Gutsy Smurf with Papa Smurf being played by Jonathan Winters who is now 84-years-old and who was featured in the original Eighties cartoon.

Don’t Mess With Oprah

Why would anyone be stupid enough to threaten Oprah with a ridiculous lawsuit? You have to be out your mind or stupid. In this case we don’t believe the plaintiffs were out of their mind, but they’re certainly stupid.

It turns out that a company called Unicus Performance Training decided to sue Oprah and Harpo Productions claiming they never got paid for the workout program they were developing with Harpo. The problem is that Oprah and her company claim Unicus Performance Training was tired for violating a confidentiality agreement. What was in that confidentiality agreement? Well, although Unicus Performance Training agreed in that agreement not to disclose they were working with, or developing anything with, or associated with Oprah and her companies, the dummies sent out a mass email explaining their relationship. So they got fired by the Queen herself. And of course, once fired, no payment was issued.

So the dummies at Unicus Performance Training are suing for nonpayment even though they clearly violated an iron clad confidentiality agreement. Good luck Unicus. See you in bankruptcy court next, when Oprah sues your dumb asses.

Johnny Depp Believes He Lives ‘Like on Another Planet’

Of all the down to earth celebs, Johnny Depp has got to be on top of that list. You never see us writing about his drunken behavior, or his cheating ways, or his arrests, etc. why? Because he has none. And guess what everyone? He’s a mega star. This is proof that one doesn’t need to behave like an attention seeking whore I denial to be famous.

Johnny has been living in the south of France for years in a region called. Plan-de-la-Tour. An avid wine lover, Johnny admits he has a secret desire “to make wine. But I’ll keep it for myself before daring to sell it commercially.”

In a rare interview, Johnny also explained the area he lives in with his wife Vanessa Paradis and their two children. “With Vanessa and the kids, we live in a sort of little village in the south and I have the impression of being in paradise,” Johnny says. “It’s a property of about 30 acres and you know what I do there? Absolutely nothing.”

A noted recluse, Johnny admits “there times when I don’t leave the property for three months at a time.” According to Johnny, he lives a “truly simple existence” that’s a lot like “being on another planet. When I wake up I go look at my garden. I go see if my vegetables are growing, if certain flowers have started to bloom.”

And he also makes clear that his life revolves around his children. “Where will we go for a walk? Should we eat at the house with them or maybe go for a picnic? These are the problems we face there,” Johnny said.
If only other celebs could learn from this guy.
