These celebrity stalkers go to great lengths to get close to their victim, and in some cases can send them threatening notes, love letters, and even turn up at their home. Some celebrities were lucky to catch these stalkers, and now have restraining orders against them, while other stories have ended more tragically. Here is a look at some instances of stalkers, and what they have done to get to their chosen celebrity victim.

Jennifer Aniston

Jennifer’s stalker sent her the following: A sharp object, duct tape and love notes. He also stalked her for several days. Jennifer now has a temporary restraining order against him.

Audrina Patridge

Audrina’s stalker sent creepy letters to her home, and was arrested after knocking on her door and furiously ringing the door bell. When he was arrested, he was found to be in possession of a large knife. Audrina was at home at the time of the incident.

Jennifer Love Hewitt

Jennifer’s stalker confronted her at the Grammy awards in 2002, and accused her and Steven Speilberg of controlling her thoughts and plotting to murder her – she also verbally threatened Jennifer.

Michael Douglas

Michael Douglas’s stalker became so obsessed with him that she threatened to murder his wife, Catherine Zeta Jones . In one particularly disturbing note written to Catherine, Michael’s stalker says “”We are going to slice her up like meat on a bone and feed her to the dogs.”

Uma Thurman’s stalker sent harassing e-mails to members to her family, and was also caught hanging around near her apartment in Manhattan.

Emily Leatherman contacted John Cusack claiming she was a victim of sex crimes, and she was convinced her could help her. She was later ordered by a court to stay away from the actor for at least a decade.

Gwyneth Paltrow

A pizza delivery man stalked Gwyneth Platrow, even sending her letters up to five times a day, some with graphic, sexual content. Paltrow said that his letters made her feel sexually violated and gave her nightmares. He was later admitted to a psychiatric ward.

Jennifer Garner

Jennifer Garner’s stalker allegedly followed the actress and her family around the country, as well as sending her letters and various packages. He was later arrested outside of her daughter’s nursery school.

Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst’s stalker broke into her home – sadly for him, she wasn’t at home, but her assistant was, and performed a citizen’s arrest. He was charged with trespassing.

Paula Abdul

Paula Abdul’s stalker allegedly drew life-sized drawings of the American Idol judge, and showed up to audition for the 2006 season of American Idol, where she professed her love for Abdul. Paula’s obsessed fan sadly died in what appeared to be a suicide outside of Paula’s L.A. mansion.

Mel Gibson

Mel Gibson’s stalker was found guilty of felony stalking. The man, named Zack Sinclair, wished to pray with Gibson. In court, Mel made a statement, saying that Zack “doesn’t appear to know his boundaries”.

Janet Jackson

Janet Jackson was granted a restraining order against Robert Cardner, who stalked her for 9 years. In one incident, Cardner showed up to a rehearsal of Saturday Night Live where Janet was to make an appearance. He was found to be in possession of a box cutter, a large pair of scissors and a knife.

David Letterman

David Letterman’s most recent stalker was arrested for plotting to kidnap Letterman’s 18-month-old son and nanny. He was also previously stalked by a woman named Margaret Ray, who commit suicide after a longtime obsession with Letterman.

Richard Gere

Richard Gere’s stalker left him various voicemails – one which was particularly disturbing stated: “I want to be with you and share your life… I need to see you… Death seems to be the best… I can take a pistol and kill myself.” She later pleaded guilty to aggravated harassment.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian’s stalker began making contact with her on Twitter, and then moved to her hometown of Calabasas, California. He began to follow her to her public appearances, wearing joker face paint, clearly inspired by The Dark Knight. He was delusional and believed to be dating Kim. She was later granted a restrainer order against him.

Lindsay Lohan Being Treated For Meth Addiction and Bi-Polar Disorder

According to a source familiar with Lindsay’s case, methamphetamine and opiates are her “drugs of choice” and she will be treated at Morningside Recovery in Orange County for a meth addiction and a bi-polar disorder.

In fact, Morningside is a rehab that specializes in opiate and meth detox. Lindsay is set to report straight to rehab after getting released from the clink.

Lindsay’s attorney Shawn Chapman Holley says, “i have never seen any psych report concerning Ms. Lohan which references a ‘bi-polar’ diagnosis or an addiction to ‘methamphetamine.’ I think this is a total fabrication.”

One important note … it has been widely reported that Lindsay takes the prescription drug Adderall, which is an amphetamine. Experts in the field of rehab and addiction tell TMZ there is a difference between amphetamine and methamphetamine.

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky: Married!

Chelsea Clinton, who Americans first got to know nearly two decades ago as the young daughter of President Bill Clinton, is now a married woman.

The lucky man is longtime boyfriend Marc Mezvinsky.

Wearing a dress by Vera Wang (a family friend who was present), the former First Daughter, 30, wed the investment banker, 32, in Rhinebeck, N.Y.

An interfaith ceremony for Chelsea, who is Methodist, and Marc, who is Jewish, was conducted by Rabbi James Ponet and the Rev. William Shillady.

Saturday's wedding was attended by 400 friends and family members, most notably Bill and Hillary Rodham Clinton (wearing Oscar de la Renta).

The former President and current Secretary of State released a statement: "Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and close friends."

Rhinebeck, a beautiful, small town in upstate N.Y., was swarmed all week by paparazzi and national media trying to catch a glimpse of the festivities.

Everybody understandably wanted to see how the teenager who grew up in the White House blossomed into a blushing bride - and with good reason.

Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky live in New York City and have dated since 2005, although they have been friends since they were teenagers.
