After 11 years of marriage, Courteney Cox and David Arquette have filed for separation.
The parents of six-year old Coco, who met on the set of Scream, have released the following statement pertaining to the situation:
"We have agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time. The reason for this separation is to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage. We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply. As we go though this process we are determined to use kindness and understanding to get through this together."
How is this split related to Lindsay Lohan?
An insider tells TMZ that Jasmine Waltz - the girl who punched Lindsay in the face a few months ago, and who once dated Ryan Seacrest - began seeing Arquette soon after he and Cox first agreed to separate.
But the source adds that there's hope for David and Courteney, saying it's "real possibility" they could get back together and: "It's a work in progress."
