Today’s Special

The Today’s Special movie will be released in November in 2010. It is being released by Reliance Media. It is starring Aasif Mandvi and an outstanding cast of members. It is a documentary type film and the director is hoping that it goes over well in movie theaters. Today’s Special is also considered a comedy.

Today’s Special is a heart warming comedy with culinary flavor, based on a sous chef who dreams of becoming the head chef at an upscale Manhattan restaurant. When he is passed over for a promotion he quits and lets his co worker know that he intends to go to Paris and apprentice under a master French chef. Dreams must be put aside however when his father has a heart attack and he is forced to take over the family business. His relationship with his parents and his heritage is immediately put to the test. He has been estranged from his father since the death of his older brother, and his mother as well.

Luckily, he crosses paths with a taxi driver that is also a passionate chef. The driver teaches him to trust his senses more than the recipes in order to stop measuring his life. And start by truly living it. He has a chance to rediscover his heritage and his passion for life through the enchanting art of cooking Indian food. The Today’s Special is a documentary that is full of passion and goes with the art of cooking.
