Trailing in public opinion polls for months despite a half-dozen Mel Gibson rants that paint the star as a bona fide crackpot, Oksana Grigorieva is on the attack.
Mel's estranged baby mama bailed on Oprah, but is opening up to People, going into even greater detail about the abuse and threats she accuses him of.
Specifically, Oksana talks in detail about the argument earlier this year, during which she says Mel Gibson hit her in the face while as she held daughter Lucia.

"I thought he would kill me," says Oksana Grigorieva, flatly.
Gibson, who declined to comment for this story, has disputed her account and a source close to him has said he intervened when she was shaking the baby.
The Russian-born musician says the silver screen legend often flew into jealous rages, talking about suicide and even brandishing a handgun in front of her.
She also discusses why she taped Mel Gibson's rants.
"I needed to document his threats," says Grigorieva, who denies she leaked the tapes, and also refutes Gibson's claim that she used the tapes to extort him.
"I'm not angry at him," Oksana says. "For the sake of Lucia, I really want him to be well. He has to have the courage to be responsible for what he's done."
