Mother And Child Review

Reel Review: This Mother and Child movie was released in May of 2010. It was released by Sony Pictures Classics. It is rated R. And it is a drama. The cast members are good and they all do well in the movie. This is a movie that will touch the very heart of everyone. Three women’s lives have something in common, hey have all been affected by adoption.

What’s Inside: One mother had a child at 14, and she decided to give her up at birth. And now the memory of her doing this has haunted her from the daughter she never knew. At this point Elizabeth grew up as an adopted child, she was bright and high spirited and a lawyer. Although she is a bit promiscuous and flirts a lot; and she is somewhat of a loner. A friend of hers is expecting a child through adoption with her husband all for the idea.

Wrapping It Up: As her friends get on a small waiting list for adoption of a baby of their own, they go through the adoption odyssey, looking for a baby to become their own. The lawyer knows that she was adopted and doesn’t feel as though she belongs anywhere, in some ways she wants to tell her friend that about the baby they are attempting to adopt but keeps it to herself instead. She knows they will be good parents and that her friend wants a child very badly, yet can’t have one on her own.
